I'm sure I'm not the only person to have this problem. During the quest 'The Blessings of Nature' where you have to find Nettlebane at Orphan Rock, I find it impossible to be able to defeat the Hagraven needed to complete the part of the quest.

Can anybody who has succesfully killed the Hagraven give me any pointers?

I am currently level 5 and I have Anneke -Crag-Jumper as my follower; I'm thinking maybe recruiting Marcurio instead may help?

Currently your problem is that you're level 5. Some enemies, like ice wraiths, hagravens, mammoths and giants are hard to kill at early levels. I would suggest levelling a bit, and then coming back to finish it. But if you really want to do the quest right away then using a follower should help, or you can lower the difficulty for the fight.

Ah I see, thank you. Yes, I do currently have a follower but she doesn't deal much damage. Haha. I will take your advice and Level up a bit and try again at around level 10. Thank you

I too had no chance against this bunch until I leveled up some and had some good effective ranged weapons.

yeah very difficult for such a low level. the same thing happened to me. now 1 arrow kills a hagraven, go figure.

I'm level 20 and won't go near Hagravens, chaurus reapers etc. I tried not to leave Whiterun hold until level 7. I still get killed if I come to a clearing with spriggans and bears on my own. However casting a atronarch and having a ranged Mage follower makes it easier. Or on my level 50 I can just cast a storm atronarch and zap.
