I've been a fan of horror movies and horror games for a couple of decades now. So no, they are not scary to me.

Yeah I never realised this till after I killed a certain one who was stood outside her little hovel. I assumed she was a nasty and filled her with arrows like a porcupine, from long distance.
I later read her name on the spoiler forums and realised she was not a hostile hag. Oh well :)

I boiled one near Orphan Rock. Treating him/her with a nice dual cast fireball whilst my Atronach double hit with her firebolt. BOIL THEM ALIVE!

Creepy, yes. But they don't scare me.

No, SPRIGGANS do that.

So I'm playing my mage character, going around and exploring and stuff. Figure I'll save, you know, just for safety. Exist save menu. BAM. I'm dead.

...Wait, what?

I load, look around, SPRIGGAN OUT OF FREAKING NOWHERE. Run backwards and shoot, miss witc---Ah, no, I died. Again. Okay, loading again... time to EMBRACE MY INNER SIR ROBIN! I barely got out of there. Those are not fun to fight at level 3.

Ever since then, I've freaked out when stubling across them, even with my "Did something just hit me?"-style oversmith'd fighter.

They're cool.

I almost wish there were fewer of them though, or better yet - just one... with a really extensive story behind them. It almost seems a shame to make them as common as they are. Spoils the mystique a bit.

As a stealth-archer, I'm afraid I don't find most things at a distance scary; they're normally dead by the time I get close enough to see the whites of their eyes. =)

But typically, no. They're not the most horrifying things I've seen by far.
