Hair styles that look good please

Post » Wed Apr 20, 2011 4:54 am

No more tied back buns or pathetic pony tails.
We want pretty straightened hair!
We want feather styles and long wavy hair and we want bump it's so all us who play females can look like a sky rim prom queens!!!!!
I mean really I know it's fantasy world game but nothing In lore said woman needed to have ugly hair.
Like seriously'go look at every hairstyle in oblivion.
Everyone(i speek for everyone) wants modern hairstyles!

This post sounds very much like a parody of itself. Nonetheless, I also want more varied hairstyles.

Well, yea I agree to some extent, but remember Skyrim isn't exactly "modern".

Plus, you might be in luck, because they're adding beards for the men ( similar to Fallout 3/NV ), which will most likely mean new hairstyles all around.

Because I too, am tired of always using "Natural" for my humans/elves and "Headband" for my kitty kitty. :foodndrink:

More hair style options maybe, but keep in mind this is TES. This isn't modern society. Hair in general is just hard to emulate in games, and most technology still can't represent it realistically. There are some engines out there that are getting close, but don't expect it in Skyrim. It's not really a major point of focus anyways.

Was I the only one who thought the bun and ponytail were among the better hair styles?

I agree, I hated the awkward lumpy hairstyles in Oblivion. The screen of the female NPC in the GI looked promising, so I'm hoping we will have some more variation.

I don't want it like Oblivion how all the races shared the same hair styles. Every race should have their own distinct styles. I also want hair physics.

I agree, better looking hair would be great. And if all else fails, the modders will come to the rescue, as they did in Oblivion.

They will look better judging by the NPC we saw. Don't expect one of those dumb Oblivion mods though.

Well...Oblivion was released in 06. Plus the engine is completely new. Odds are hair styles will be different.

No you sure weren't. Furthermore, the hairstyles weren't bad, it was the variety that lacked. We're well on in game history since 2006 and the standards for such things are much much higher. Beth tends to one-up or two-up it's competition, I'm not worried about these kind of details at all.

I hope we'll at last get some long hair, as in straight long hair, and natural "wavy" hair with lots of curl to them at the very least, both are not modern in any way, but look great. You don't always need hair gel to look good, some woman are just lucky :D

I quite liked a lot of fallout hair styles. the shader was way better, the meshes and styles were a bit tighter, then there is the implementation of a hat/nohat version of the hair. that made the whole system of headwear/hair clipping not a problem.

Just saying that is a better indicator of how Beth is thinking about hair, rather than Ob.

Wow... just... wow. If they could put something like that in the game, I don't think that people would ever have to worry about hair options again. Well, except maybe the occasional "could they tone it down a little?" remarks.

You know... With mods, it's actually not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm guesing we is you, yourself, and and some others that agree. But I liked the tied back rogue knot. All they need is to add more variations of hairstyles.
Sorry if I took this the wrong way, but the OP seems like he wants to replace hairstyles with just one or 2 different kinds.

As long as were talking about better hair styles, then I feel I must bring up(since they are bringing facial hair into this game) a good looking selection
of beards. Not like the horrible selection from FO. I hope this is an appropriate subject for this topic.

This is not allowed. The forums prohibit images that could immensely disturb small children. /jk

OT: I think more hairstyles + beards is a good thing to hope for.

What was so horrible about the facial hair in Fallout? I loved the giant chopper mustache.
