A Halloween Mod from TESA

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:50 am

I'm definitely looking forward to this, especially after those screenshots :D

However...what's the anticipated file size so far, and is keeping things vanilla encouraged? (IOW, no dependancy on things like OOO or MMM)

remember the screenshots only show off the core, none of the entries have screenshots up (for judging reasons)

File size...will properbly be a bit large...i know both mine and WillieSea have 30mb + entries...most arent using as many custom stuff as use though.

I realize that, it's just that the intro area already looks great.

This probably won't be a 100mb+ download though would it?

I very much doubt it will end up 100mb+, it may come close to 100mb depending on how many challengers use external resources. I do know some are trying to use as much vanilla content as they can.

Good to see the excitement building as we get closer to release! 3 entries submitted and a confirmed 10 more to be submitted by the 28th, so...13 total.

The Oubliette will be released on October 31st, probably around 12:00PM EST.

The core .esp is nearly finished, just working out a few final details, but I will start merging the cleaned entries together on the 28th and 29th. It's slotted for a closed BETA test on the 30th and will be releasing on schedule. :goodjob:

So much terror, so little time left....

Update: Only 4 days remain until The Oubliette releases, BGS forum-ites! :celebration:

I've had a look at a few early entries and you guys/gals are in for a real treat this Halloween! I do not recommend attempting this one at a low level, so get your characters up to at least 10-12 if you hope to stay alive to the finish!

If your forget your enchanted and ranged weapons, well that's okay, you're welcome to stay... :shifty:

Started to compile the mod and yes, it will be at least 100MB, the core itself is almost that much. It's not the assets or the actual .esps that are heavy, but sound FX and Dialogue make up most of that weight. If you look at the Voice BSAa for Oblivion you'll see they are rather hefty. But I will try to trim things down as much as possible. :brokencomputer:

With so many modders actually participating this is going to be an epic dungeon crawl in a very short span of building time!

And in some of the entries I've seen so far, there are some treats that "epic" does not begin to describe!

So excited about this, this was a great idea, and will be the scariest mod ever! And I wish luck to all of my fellow competitors (cause you're going to need it, hehe)
