A Halloween Mod from TESA

Hail and Fair Greetings, BGS Forum-ites!

Every year around this time folks start to ask if there's a Halloween mod coming out for this year, so I thought I'd get a jump on the inquires by announcing "YES" there will be!

This year, the members and staff of TESA are competing in a modding challenge to create the best scare in an Oblivion interior! Each challenger is adding a scary level to our collective horror themed project titled:

The Oubliette

The finished project will be made available on October 31st for download!

Now comes the fun part, once you've played, YOU the players will decide which level gave the best overall scare!

After we release The Oubliette, we will open polls here and on TESA to collect votes for favorite scares and tally them up to announce the winner!

The Challengers
  • WhoGuru
  • Mannimagnus
  • WillieSea
  • BadCompany
  • Cliffworms
  • shadeMe
  • rokknroll4
  • PacificMorrowind
  • Yevic
  • DaMage
  • AmpolX
  • Windmill Tilter
  • Critterman
  • Xinimator
  • the-manta

Interested in participating?

The challenge has only just begun, so modders are still welcome to join in the fun! For more information on joining please visit our challenge thread: http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/1814-the-oubliette/page__pid__28053__st__0&#entry28053

Good Luck to the Challengers, and I hope you will all download and vote for the winner of Best Scare! ^_^

Cheers,
DarkRider

I'll put Oblivifall on hold for three weeks and concentrate my efforts on my Oubliette level. :D

Great idea for Halloween!

If I had the time this month, I'd definitely go ahead and contribute something. Sadly, with school and all, I don't. I may be able to crank out something small, though. Hopefully. ^^

Still, cool idea. I'd love to have some new, quality horror mods.

Minimum entry is a single interior cell, so can be as small as the IC shack interior as long as you can squeeze a big scare into it you're welcome to join in anytime.

If time does not allow, we still appreciate your interest and hope you play through and vote for your favorite level! :foodndrink:

Hmm, I seem to be rather good at making scary things in this game, sign me up. As much as I wan't to work right now, I need a new mouse, the touch pad can't be used with the CS.

So this is going to be like one long dungeon? With all of the levels attatched to one another?

In a way, the Oubliette is a central structure with many doors, each door leads to a new terrifying entry from a challenger and to a different part of the Oubliette, survive to the end, and we'll make sure there's a nice prize for those hardy few who survive with their bodies, and minds in tact!

Make sure you read the thread on TESA which has all the specific details for challengers. :goodjob:

I read the thread, that answered most of my questions, just a few more specific questions:
I realize there will be a large reward for surviving the whole Oubliette, but can we have smaller rewards?
Should enemies be leveled or static?

Thats all I think.

Leveled or static creatures are up to challengers, you can do it either way. You can also add small rewards to your levels if you choose to.

Looks to be fun. I had a lot of fun making the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13699 mod, so this should be just as interesting.

Good luck to all the entries! :goodjob:

As much as i'd love to, 1 month isnt really long enoguh for me to make something good, esspecially as it is last term of high school.

I like the idea that in the end, they all get added together to make one big mod, that seems really cool :)

Before I clicked this thread I was skeptic, but now I'm excited as hell.

I wish I knew how to script so I could make a level.
