Halloween

Ok, we know that the Fallout World ended October 23rd, 2077. So, why in any Fallout game, are there not Halloween Decor? In today's society, grocers, homes, lawns, buildings, etc.. have Halloween decor set up in October. Why don't we see any decoration, maybe like ancient jack-o-lanterns, corpses with costumes, fake tombs and cobwebs? I am pretty sure homes, grocers, etc.. that we explore would have decorations, especially if no one is alive to take them down.

Even STREETLIGHTS, in todays society have "Halloween 2010!" or "Halloween Horror Nights" and stuff. It would of been creative to have some of that up.

I am sure that some decorations such as cobwebs, and plastic tombs would have been obliterated, but garden gnomes, boxes of cereal, etc.. survived so, so could a Halloween Banner, costume, lantern, etc.. could survive. I just want to know why Bethesda didn't get creative with Halloween stuff when they got ownership of the game. It was Halloween when the world ended, and when the world ends I doubt people bother with taking down left over decor.

In Fallout 3, there is that one advert for a Costume House mentioning a Halloween sale. Outside that, one could argue Antagony and the Mechanizer were wearing ancient Halloween outfits, I suppose.

It's possible in the fear and paranoia leading up to the Final War left little time to celebrate a consumer-driven holiday.

Look at how prominent Hallowe'en was a week before it actually took place - in the 50s. Always keep the setting in mind.

Given that the economy had crashed with fossil fuels going away and an ongoing war on American soil, it may simply be people couldn't get anything but the flimsiest of decorations with limited funds and possible rationing.

Cheap decorations are less likely to survive than expensive houses.
