Halo 4 > Crysis 2

Post » Tue Nov 27, 2012 4:29 am

Why are you guys still here?

Go out and buy Halo 4 because it's running smoothly with a large diverse community filled with a variety of awesome game modes. The weapons are more balanced, and modes that allow for armor abilities have a cloak ability which I assure you is just as clear and hard to detect (aka just as annoying), so please do yourself a favor and stop beating a dead horse. So glad Widda set me straight when he did. He's my saviour.

And what's more Halo 4 takes true skill. Many of the Crysis 2 elites have played it and have KDs below 1, which again proves that this game was centered around the mastery of a few exploits not allowed in other games. Warp strafing and and running cloaked arent allowed in Halo 4, so if that is your approach prepare to die, a lot!

In this game when you break 20 Kills in a match no matter the mode you feel that rewarding feeling of accomplishment like beating a boss in Dark Souls or finally becoming good enough in CS:GO to hold your own. So friends I implore you to drop your crutches and your crysis-elite egos and go play a skilled-based game. You'll lose, but when you win you'll feel what its like to be NFCT--Elite gamers (not just Elite Crysis players)

Toodles muwah Xoxoxo-

Finally a good thread, I think this will be the only time me and you will ever agree on something Mike, Halo 4 is indeed solid I'm playing with people 8,000 miles away and I get no lag or latency issues, I'm loving the connections

You'll see Ceph on US leagues since Halo 4 is perfect across the ocean.

Maybe you'll find me on Big Team, King of Hill, Oddball & Slayer Pro

Or you could, you know, play both games, lol at all you guys acting like you never liked crysis I know how many hours you all put into this game :p

But more importantly halo has been out for like 2 weeks, you can hardly begin to "exploit" a game in the first two weeks. Give it 2 months and watch the k/d of everyone climb. I'll argue that crysis takes more skill than halo too, thats why the learning curve is so steep and the good players are leagues above the new players. If it was an unskilled game then the learning curve would be shallow and noobs would be given a bunch pity rewards to keep them alive and happy despite their lack of skill.
In the world of first person shooters crysis is unique. It allows nearly unending improvement due to the speed of gameplay and the mobility given to players. My point is once you get good at crysis it becomes a whole new game where the true enjoyment comes from beating the other skilled players, I mean Mike you can't tell me you weren't as stoked beating an elite clan in crysis as you are in halo when you get 20 kills.

Maybe I disagree with you guys because my definition of skilled gameplay is different. I do love halo don't get me wrong its a quality game, but I always find myself coming back to crysis to get a taste of that delicious crispy fast-pace gameplay where knowledge of the game and quick reaction time is the key to victory.

Well, of course Halo 4 will be better than crysis 2 for now because you're comparing a 2-3 year old game to a new fresh game lol.

Well it had a resurgence in May 2012, with X Clan coming back, and me and Goblin recruiting several high profile players to NFCT, and then there was the formation of King and JOKR. The drama and rivalries were fierce. S2K came back with the same ole nonsense (yawn), and I finally called them out on their BS. Me and Enemy put Ceph Clan in their place (retirement in game and forums :) ). It was really Crysis at its finest. No one can argue that May 2012- July 2012 was the golden period of USA Crysis 2 Xbox 360.

One might say the same about women. XD

Indeed beating elite clan in Crysis 2 took a great deal of skill, and was very rewarding. But as the player counts dwindled and so did the elite players many nights were filled with boredom, migrations that ended the game, Skyline/Wall St 24/7, and lag and other network issues that played too great a part of the outcome once you did bump into someone of skill.

Nah! Dont even try it! It was just another troll thread, so now you want to pat me on the back? For many months I contributed and built this community. My words were like gospel, and yet you mocked me and publicly stone me for speaking truths.

Halo 4 is stable COMPARATIVELY to crysis 2, but make no mistake, this has the worst netcode of any Halo ever! Original Xbox ran smoother with less lag. Spartan Ops is basically unplayable especially playing with people from your friends' list and not the random match making. I have never seen so much lag in a Halo match. It's the prettiest Halo I have ever seen, and one of the best looking games on the Xbox 360, but performace wise Halo 3 pimp smacks Halo 4. I think the reason why we dont have Maps with multiple wrathes and tanks is because the engine cant handle it. The balance would actually be better if they had two tanks on Exile and two wraths on Vortex, but I'm tired of telling devs how to make smart decisions.

Almost every armor ability is exploitable in the wrong hands too. Promethian vision absolutely breaks teh natural flow of regaular 4-4 slayer. Ordinance drops favor the COD campers who get OP Binary rifles having never left their spawn on Ragonok. I'm still the same Old grumpy bastard, so dont you start trying to befriend me. I wont have it sir, not at all.

Piper its my patriotic duty to rescue you from the clutches of Walka and the European Union. You have even started talking like them saying things like give it "a go." I think you may need my help yeah? It's not too late for you. Even Brody was given a second chance :) I could be your Kerry Mathews!

Anyways, Halo 4. Maybe I will see you in matchmaking, although I doubt it seeing as the release of Crysis 3 is approaching quickly! Don't think I want to get caught up in a whole new game before that.

If you wish to keep this thread unlocked keep the discussion to comparing Halo 4 and Crysis 2/3. Keep your egos out of it.

totally agree with you bruh!

Me and my buddies played hard during those months. GOON squad played many times vs KING & JoKR, totally got destroyed but it was still a great time. Great clans out there that are incredible. Not the best to get owned by you guys but its still very fun and it makes us all better. I noticed although the major clans destroy us, when in games not with those clans we do incredibly well so all the competition helps everyone become better! BTW halo 4 is great thus far, although cant wait to C3. peace and happy gaming fellas/gals!

To be fair, the elites with terrible K/D's is probably simply a function of them not being used to Halo. I've been playing rather consistently and have been keeping my k/d at or above a 2.0. Haven't been able to play against any well known people though... Still, Crysis is a very different game with an incredibly complex style for those who aren't familiar. My gameplay styles just carry over well from game to game ;) Promethean vision is very helpful but def not a game breaker. I use it frequently and when I played some SWAT I felt weak because I had been using it as a crutch, so the game still stays balanced .

I heard from some friends that during the Alpha of crysis 3 you move slow when cloaked. kinda like if you are in armor mode. if it ends up staying like that when crysis 3 comes out thats going to svck. if it changes my movement at all i just might not like multiplayer. i enjoy the speed of this game. The game looks fun and i am sure i will enjoy the campaign. What do you guys think? If being cloaked slows you down considerably how would you feel? just curious..

I've grown to love the movement in crysis 2 and I would be really sad to see any change it just wouldn't feel the same.

Well being able to sprint whilst in cloak at the same speed is what makes cloak so great...getting slown down the same way as Armour does but in cloak will make it awful...

I didn't feel a difference regarding sprinting whilst cloaked, it's the visibility that's a bit too high... Though we commented on this. Halo Elite - Power weapon camper?
