I have just been wondering how Hammerfells...... umm... government works. I don't know the exact word. I know Cyrodiil has like Counts and an Emperor, High Rock has its different Kingdoms, Skyrim has Jarls and a High King. In Hammerfell, what do they have. Is there a king or anything.

I think there is a crown king or queen. Hammerfell used to be plagued by infighting between the ra gada and the forebears but after they both chucked those bastard Thalmor out of the homeland they united. I'm not sure who the crown king is but he has many officials and leaders of towns like sentinel. Similar to counts and jarls. So it's the crown king and the leaders of the cities. Hammerfell will also now probably form a proper army. Besides in the meanwhile the order of the candle will keep us safe.

Hammerfell is ruled by an emporer from the city of Sentinel. But the rulers of the other cities have alot of power in there own city, so it's almost like a group of city-states in a commonwealth.

Person12321 who posted just before I posted , has got it pretty much right. There still seems to be alot of infighting going on between the different city's leaders. I could see a bloody civil war for control happening whenever the current emporer dies. The lore about the current situtation in Hammerfell is pretty vague, as if nothing importaint enough to write about has happened in the last 50 years or so.
