Alright, I've been taking a look at some things over at TIL, and I have some questions.

First off, is Hammerfell split into different regions with different rulers, sort of how the Counts and Countesses work in Cyrodiil?

If that is so, then each region would have a different military, correct?

What are the names of these leaders? If in fact Hammerfell is split up into different regions.

What is Hammerfell's relationship with Cyrodiil?

I did, but I am still confused. I cannot find the answers to the questions I ask from that link. Whether that is my own ignorance I do not know, but that is why I've come here.

I read the link provided by Nalion, and I think I can answer some of your questions.

1. Yes, Hammerfell seems to be split into different regions with different rulers. It doesn't seem to have a single monarchy like Morrowind.

2. I got this from the PGE. Due to the divisions within Hammerfell society, the Redguards seem unable to form a cohesive fighting force (though I believe the Kingdom of Sentenil has a standing army). When the Redguards go to war, they are probably something along the lines of a well-organized, very skilled militia.

3. Do some TIL to find out who the premier leaders of Hammerfell are. I know a lot of Daggerfall books talk about the Sentenil royalty.

4. On the relationship with Cyrodiil, it seems to be split. The Crowns I think might not like the Empire all that much where as the Forbears seem to respect Cyrodiilic culture.

It ain't that hard guys, really. The link I gave named the three rulers/leaders of the three most significant kingdoms in Hammerfell:
Sentinel, with King Lhotun
Elinhir, with Prophet Ayaan-si
Taneth, with Queen Clavilla

The fact that they are kingdoms leads to the conclusion that Hammerfell is not a unified province. It is more similar to High Rock than Cyrodiil (although some Redguards would heavily object to being compared with their old foes). Also, one paragraphs describes the differences between northern and southern Hammerfell, answering part one of your first question.

Hmm....I never thought of that, Marn. And to be honest I had never heard of Sentinel until today, so, you can't blame me.

So Elder Scrolls has never made a game that is set in Hammerfell?

Daggerfall was set in a portion of Hammerfell. TESA: Redguard, a third-person adventure game in the series, was set on an island belonging to the province.

maybe in 10 years time games will be so advanced they could put everything in it? Hammerfell, Cyrodiil etc..?

its not about how advanced games are but about time. you could put in all of tamriel in the current engine, but it would take for ever and still probably svck. quality vs. quantity.
