I've kept rats and guinea pigs - I think the rats were more sociable, but maybe my pigs were just shy Guinea pigs make the best noises though (although check everyone you live with likes it - some people think it's really annoying). Giving the guinea pigs a bath was so cute too! :wub:

If you have room a guinea pig is probably the most social and pleasant. Being larger they need a pretty good sized cage and take more cleaning. I had a hamster and while it was cute and I like it, the darn thing was nocturnal and only wanted to wake up and play after dark (which made it a pain in my bedroom since he scratched around and ran on his wheel all night). Kind of funny they're legal in California while Gerbils aren't.

Rats, there the only rodent pet that i can stand.

I've always wanted a ferret, but they're forbidden in my home, and when I'm out flatting during the uni semester, I don't think I'd have the time, space or money for one :/

Yea guinea pigs can get very loud my one Haloti when he wants a treat or is outta food or water scales the side of his cage and makes the this high pitched loud WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! noise its adorable but very annoying sometimes.

Not into rodent pets I like having something I can wrestle with. *Pets his dog buddy* With some of those small critter pets i'm so worried i'll crush the little thing in my hand. If I "HAD" to choose one though I would probably pick Rabbit even though they aren't classified as Rodents *Seems weird if they are imho*.
