Hand-to-hand finishers

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 12:17 am

I've only seen two, where you beat someone's face in and when you powerslam them into the ground. Is there any more, and is there any stealth finishers? I want to snap people's necks, and I would rather have finishers on some things other than humanoids.

I did think it would be cool if you snuck up behind someone to do a neck break with your bare hands, instead of a throat-slit. That would be really cool, I agree!

Though I would assume due to engine limitations it could not be done.

I doubt there's stealth finishers, as it would be incredibly hard to 1HKO with hands. The H2H finishers only work because they're flurried, vicious, and final, rather than the equivalent of *CHK CHK, BOOM*

Um.. no. You're right that there aren't any stealth finishers currently, but you're wrong about everything else.

1) it's really not that hard to KO someone, especially if you svckerpunch them

2) a choke is a simple move, easy to implement in first person, means the victim has no chance to make any noise and is easily lethal or non lethal at the user's discretion.

..Not to mention the fact that TES lore apparently has people doing all sorts of crazy unrealistic [censored] bare handed.

All Bethesda games involve people doing all sorts of crazy unrealistic [censored] one handed.

I was referring to game mechanics rather than real life. Even with perk and enchantments, you won't be doing enough damage to warrant a one hit kill once you reach any sort of level - even with kit unavailable at the beginning. Obviously it's not impossible to beat the crap out of someone in stealthy silence IRL. :P

What's your point?

I was simply pointing out that the lore apparently supports the viability of hand to hand, despite the fact it's never really been viable in game on higher difficulties since oblivion.
