Hey guys, I'm having quite a strange issue.

I used to run Oblivion fine, I haven't played it in about 5 months. Nothing hardware wise has changed since then.

The game wouldn't start, I would click lunch from Mod Manager, and it would give me a small black square in the upper left corner (as I find is fairly common) and just hang. I'd have to hard restart to get past this- process assassin wouldn't even kill it.

Now, after disabling mods and trying various combos with no success, I just said screw it, and uninstalled everything. After reinstalling oblivion (not messing with the mods), it ran fine.

And then I turned my pc off for the night.

The next night, it wouldn't run. Same issue. So I said, WTH, and scraqed EVERYTHING, game, mods, manager, etc. I did a total fresh install. That worked. so I installed the official patch, and OOO 1.3-1.33. Everything was going well.

Until I restarted. (again, turned off for the night)

So today, again, it wont run. I get the same box. If I uncheck all of the plugins and the OOO .esm from the data files box (obviously leaving Oblivion.esm checked...) it just restarts my computer for me.


I'm really confused now, as it used to work fine, and after a fresh install, it works. Any thoughts?
