Happy 4th of July, Americans! Any plans for today?

I am going to have a very "un-Amrican" meal of Polish Kielbasa and German sauer kraut

I should be able to see my city's fireworks display tonight. My city also has a free concert in the city's bandshell that lasts all day long. I should be able to hear some of that if I step outside for a bit

Also, is this any kind of special day for any other part of the world?

Is it Independance Day in America or something?

There's nothing special happening here in Scotland unfortunately. However it is going to be my birthday in a couple of weeks!
