Happy St. Paddys day!!!

What are your plans? Are you even old enough to celebrate the "traditional" way :foodndrink:

I think I shall spend the day listening to my Flogging Molly Pandora station and then hit the local irish pub when my wife gets home. Maybe watch Boondock Saints :D

I'm not in Liverpool today, with all the Irish there that's usually an experience. :(

Of course! My real first name is Patrick, after all, and although I'm only part Irish I'll pretend the French half of me doesn't exist for today.

Kilkenny's, here I come!

I'll probably just celebrate with some Guinness at home. I'm not one for going out to the bars on St. Patrick's Day, since they tend to get a bit too rowdy with all the college students around here. (And yes, I actually like Guinness...all the Irish women in my family do. Apparently it's genetic. )

St. Patrick's day? What's that?
We don't celebrate St. Patrick's day here in Finland :( Well, I could as well celebrate it w/ my buddies with a nice bottle o' Irish whiskey/whisky (I forgot how the Irish spell it D:).

Happy birthday!

I'm ~50% Irish, so I'm flaunting that around today. My red beard is on full display  St. Paddy's Day is opening night for a local bar, so I'm going there. I went there last year and had a blast. I still have the giant, green, foam Guinness hat I kept from last year's night out, so I'm wearing that.

Also, Young Dubliners Pandora station at work all day.

I hope to be celebrating with my friends this evening which means Irish Car Bombs and lots of whiskey. Yes i'm old enough to celebrate it the "traditional" way.

I'm part Irish so I rub it in my friend's face all the time. :P

hey all,
greetings from Dublin, where I am in the pub placing bets on horses and drinking pints of pints.
last night Raekwon of Wu-Tang played a blinding gig and swore word-is-bond style that his favourite colour was green.
Yeah [censored]es.

Happy Birthday Exorince!

I'm not Irish and don't usually celebrate but a friend and neighbor of mine who lost his wife (my very dear friend) a couple of years back asked if I would make corned beef and cabbage/carrots/potatoes for him today if he supplied the groceries for it. He misses his wifes St. Patty's Day tradition. So despite my not really liking corned beef I am cooking it today and having him and another couple over for dinner. I guess I will enjoy some coffee with a splash of irish whiskey for dinner while everyone else dines. :yuck:

I'll go to work and come home. Might make a smoothie, but I've been having one daily this entire week. I will never drink, and only a minuscule part of me is Irish, and overall I see no point in this day beyond wearing green for fun.

Not like I need an excuse to drink beer...or colour it, but this will do nicely. Happy St. Patricks day my irish/beer loving friends.

This reminded me...I don't think i own any green clothes. I should do something about that, maybe a green suit.

My way of celebrating this holiday is by devouring tons of delicious corned beef. I'd drink too, but, well the age thingy kind of gets in the way of that.

What is this obsession with corned beef in America? Here it's just a poor quality tinned food, not some sort of inherently Irish dish.

If done properly (for the love of all that is holy not canned!) it is a delicious, high quality dish that can be served any number of ways
