Happy Scour Day!

I think a great thing to put into Skyrim would be the actual celebration of the http://oblivion.wikia.com/wiki/Time, such as, people coming up and greeting you appropriate to the holiday, shops selling goods to do with them, decorations and such, it would make the game much more lifelike, however I could imagine things like seasonal change, decorations and such would be difficult to do, but shop inventories and dialogues wouldn't be too hard to accomplish. I don't know the specifics of all the holidays but still, I think it'd make a good edition to the game. :celebration:

It would be good first time round and i like the idea, but most of the celebrations you would have to wait an entire year to take part in again.

Yeah. The main reason Arena and Daggerfall could get away with holidays is because you could fast travel around to bypass entire months of in-game time, so players going out of their way to walk into town on certain dates could do so. If they re-implemented holidays in Skyrim, perhaps they could take place over a week or two? That'd certainly give them more novelty.

Also there is a huge amount of holidays, and while Skyrim doesnt celebrate all of them, there's still a good chunk of holidays they do celebrate

That's actually a pretty decent idea. I don't mind if these festivals would only come across once every year; it would be a nice surprise when they did. And it sort of adds to the charm that it doesn't occur every other week, that would just become repetitive. Every addition doesn't have to be a major change, small changes can go a long way.

I liked the way Daggerfall did this, something along those lines would be nice.
