Lore wise, as Harbinger of the Companions they character should rally its members to go back to the original and honorable way of what the companions used to be.
That means taking the fight to Thalmor, they say they do not get involved in politics and yet originally they were when you think about it, they goal was to take the right to the elves when they posed as a threat and here in the 4th era the Elves ( Thalmor ) pose a threat and there fore the companions should step up and be who they used to be.

Other wise why stay as the companions? They are basically everything the originals were not, so technically they are another faction with the Companion name.

Lore wise would this be ideal?
