hardcoe and other things

Must say I'm enjoying hardcoe mode since it actually gives you a use for the food, water and Sunset Sasparilla you pick up.

For the question: If I do the quest in Primm to get rid of the Powder Gangers and can't fix the eyebot will I lose it? My current repair skill is far below what is needed and I don't want to run off and leave it behind only to come back later and find it gone. I'd rather skip Primm entirely for a while and go to New Vegas then come back later and pick it up.

Thanks

No need to worry, it'll still be there the next time you come around.

Also, don't forget to use any skill magazines you come across if you're just a few points off, such as repair in this instance.

Repair skill is currently 26 and I don't have any repair magazines yet so I'm far short of the minimum 55 unfortunately.

for some quests and objectives, there will be two or more solutions. ed-e can be repaired using parts. no skill needed.

So then higher repair skill would be needed to modify it I suppose?

No, it is just another option to use.

To modify ED-E you have to do ED-E's quest

Cool. Thank you once again. I've freed the deputy and am clearing out the hotel now. It's amazing and funny to me that a military caliber rifle is considered a 'varmint gun'. :gun:

It's proving quite a treasure trove I must say. Also had the guy approach me about the blue star caps when I came out of which I have two now, one came from a bottle I drank. :hehe:

It's been quite a 'blast' so far.

You don't need any Repair or Science skill level, you just need the right parts. I'm constantly amazed at how many people miss that. Though I have to admit that I did first as well. There's another dialogue option labelled "Repair With Parts". If you have 3 Scrap Metal, 2 Sensor Modules, and 1 Scrap Electronics, all parts that you can find before you even get to Primm, you can get ED-E as your companion right away.
