Last night I got all the way to the Hoover Dam on hardcoe mode. While entering the main office I kept on getting shot in the face. So I switched it to very easy to check alternate routes to save my life when I returned to hardcoe mode and it saved over my hardcoe! Woops! So then I reloaded my other save file and alas that one also was plagued with my decision. So I have to restart all over again. I wasted so much time!

I'm confused... hardcoe mode and difficulty are 2 separate things. It's possible to play hardcoe mode on Very easy... Did you turn off hardcoe mode, or change the difficulty?

Yeah, I think I read somewhere. That once you turn off hadecore mode that's it. For that character anyway.

You can toggle hardcoe mode off and on at will... you just lose the trophy/Achievement if you turn it off.
