Hardest bosses you've ever faced in Skyrim

Post » Tue May 28, 2013 12:55 am

Skyrim has some pathetic excuses for bosses, but it also have some quite difficult to mind numbingly annoying bosses. I want to know what are some of the hardest bosses that you have ever face. Would like to know which one is mentioned the most. Try to include named ones as much as possible, describe how you defeated it if you want, and if it contains spoilers, do everyone a favor and use spoiler tags.

I have faced plenty of hard bosses in the past, but I must name one that I dealt with just recently. Dragonborn DLC spoilers:

Spoiler

I'm sure many of you have experienced something similar with other Dragon Priest.

Miraak was very entertaining. Voice, magic, and melee all in one. A true bad-ass that one.

The hardest I have faces thus far, from any playthrough, is my current modded game, against Mulminir. I entered the Western Watchtower at level 11 and couldn't get him past 1/8 of his health bar, before he regenerated it back to a full bar. I just ran away and left him circling the tower.

I am now, level 28 and he must have scaled with me, because I can't even make his health bar move at all... after 150 arrows. Sadly, I am going to be forced to adjust my settings, obviously. As it stands, the Dragons are literally invincible.

Toughest Boss in the Vanilla? ... there isn't one.

That's... a little extreme. I modded the Dragons to reasonably high health and amped their damage a little. My low level dragons have 4,600 health, Legendary ones have 9,200, Alduin has 15,000 the first time I fight him and then 30,000 the last battle.

It works for me.

I fought Alduin on Legendary today. No enchantments on armor or weapons besides Ysgramor's Shield, and all Nordic Carved armor & Axe up to Flawless quality.

It was extremely hard. One touch of his Thu'um and you're done.

Miraak, Karstaag and the Ebony Warrior. Those guys were what every one of my characters aspire to be - totally and completely, ultimate bada$$es.

Karstaag was the absolute most difficult.

I looked him up in the CK and his modded stats have him at level 20 w/ 9K health. My current character just became able to improve Orchish and her bow deals 83 base damage with another 22 by arrows. On master that's only 50 damage per shot, before his armor... lol

SkyRe has the entire game mechanics adjusted to balance the gameworld, but he left the dragons alone. I wanted a challenge...but damn!

Still, I will let him continue to circle the Watchtower, until she becomes a lot more capable. I also have the Community Uncapper installed and she is going to need it, for sure.

Not to mention I installed the Deadly Dragon Priest module. So, I have yet to gather the courage to undergo that brick wall yet. If these Dragon encounters are any inclination of what is to come with them... that will put them on par with the Ebony Warrior. And I'll need all 81 levels of health to stand a chance. :D

Quit fighting yourself. You'll end up like old Otar!

Krosis has low self-esteem. Every other Dragon Priest bullies him for not having his own barrow dungeon.

Indeed. Dragons can put up a pretty good fight if you up the difficulty. My character not using the block skill, has to rely on cover in the environment to get out of the way of their shouts.

Krosis at level 10 is really hard. That fight took at least 30 minutes on Adept.

The only one I consider hard was Hevnoraak which I faced with my DiD character that was only level six at the time. Just struggling through Valthume was very hard and I wasn't sure he'd survive the final battle in a direct confrontation so he used a run & return approach to defeat him.

But since I see him roaming these forums, I guess that he somehow survived.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head but the one with the two differently named ghostblades. I think he's in a Nordic ruin and there's a dragon wall not to far from him.....

Its all very well saying the bosses are to weak or to strong but it seems to come down to your level + the difficulty level+ perks + crafting all of which we have control over. That being the case you can put yourself in a position to kill even the most badass boss with ease or have an epic battle with even the weaker ones.

Higher level Dragons on My Pure Mage that chose Shock Damage and the Atronach Stone. Dragons that can no longer Shout have been the Bane of My Mage, Chonp-cam avoidance is very tedious :stare:

I don't count any character related to the main quest(s) or dragons as bosses, so, the one I hate the most is the http://images.uesp.net/7/74/SR-interior-Cragslane_Cavern_03.jpg at Cragslane cave. Not only his level is higher than yours (at least when you confront him early in the game) but he uses enchanted weapons. :stare:

Alduin is easy if you let the warriors tank for you, other high end dragons might be harder if they get you in a bad spot.

Had dragons fight other enemies to death, favorite was then I saw an dragon hit an bandit camp I was sneaking up to, got an quest completed message then it killed the boss.
