Harkon's bed owned?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can ever completely own Castle Volkihar and if the bed (owned) tag ever disappears in the master bedroom?

I've finished the DG main quest and killed Harkon. I am a Vampire Lord and sided with the Vampires. I'm now just messing around and doing some of the side quests (vampire rings, etc.). I had left and re-entered a few times after killing Harkon and then decided I might move in permanently. I have had the passage to the courtyard repaired as well.

I cleared out all the containers and intend to give it some time to see if they respawn before moving all my stuff there. Before heading out, I figured I would crash in my new master bedroom for awhile but found that the bed was still owned. If I killed Harkon and am now running the show shouldn't this bed be mine?

Does anyone know if this ever becomes the players bed? Thanks!

If you mean the coffin in his bedroom, you should be able to use it after he's dead. You may need to talk to Garan Marethi afterwards though to make repairs to the castle; I'm not sure if that is what triggers the ownership or not. You might also have to leave the castle and return in a few days for the changes to take effect.

Thanks, the coffin is good to go and I have repaired the castle passageway. I think I will stay away for about a month and see if I can sleep in the bed then. Not that it's a big deal but from a roleplaying perspective it seems wrong that the bed would still be "owned" when I killed the owner already. Especially because it's a pretty cool bedroom with the alchemy and enchanting tables.

I appreciate the reply!
