I don't think it's very wise to make a safehouse at a raider-spawning point. Maybe you'd better stash your stuff in Victor's shack in Goodsprings, the hotel room in Novac or a safehouse somewhere in New Vegas, don't know if you've been there already.

Edit: This is the wrong forum though, this forum is about the New Vegas DLC. Maybe a mod can move it to New Vegas General Discussion?

DLC is DownLoadable Content. When you're on Xbox 360 you can download specific packs (right now only the Dead Money DLC) which allows you to play additional quests in a new area of the game. This forum is dedicated to discussing this and upcoming DLC's. I don't know what console you play on, but if it's PS3 or PC you can't download it at this moment, but maybe you can in a few months.

I just recently used harpers shack as my armory yes i use a armory because its awsome. i ussually put a ton of mines outside of the enterance so then they cant get in if they spawn there.

I always use Harper's shack as my house. ED-E lured some Deathclaws in once and once I found a dead raider in my minefield, but I've never had a recurring problem like you.
I agree with Epicness1 -- build a minefield.

An easier storage spot is right at the beginning.I used the two dumpsters near the general store in good springs without a problem on several play throughs.Use one for aid, ammo, garbage misc.,and the other for weapons, apparel, misc. There is a reloading bench and work bench on the other side of the general store. But you do have to travel for a campfire.

I'm sorry to hear that Harper's Shack might not be entirely safe as ah, uhm...safehouse, as I've used Harper's Shack for a while...as a safehouse. I've never encountered any Deathclaws or other bad guys in or just outside the shack though, and I haven't lost any of my "safely" stacked weapons and such either. Shoud I relocate? Or mine up the entrance? Hmm...

Harper's Shack is very convenient though, with both a campfire outside and a reloading bench plus a working station, along with a bed and lots of containers. Are there better and safer free safehouses out there?

Just find another random shack or house that you can use that suits your needs. I personally use the BoS safehouse and NCR safehouse + the presidential suite and the novac hotel room. It also depends on where i am and if i am in need of a safehouse. I like to store my weapons and armor in one house so i can keep track of it :)

Harper's Shack isn't a good location for storage. The Raiders are nearby and not to mention the Deathclaws. I think Wolfhorn Ranch is a better location. The Containers don't respawn and they're no enemies nearby.

Thanks for the tips, I'll definetively consider a relocation!

Wolfhorn Ranch was my first free safehouse btw, yet I relocated to Fields' Shack outside New Vegas (because of a shorter distance from the Strip), yet found Harper's Shack (with all it's conveniences) later on. One place for all the good stuff is ideal though, yet I usually ramble around a lot before I find the perfect place. Anyway. the BoS safehouse and the Novac hotel-room are probably not too bad, I'll check them out!
