Well, most stuff on IGN I consider to be total [censored].

However I've heard this rumor before, but it sounded more like she was gonna write some short story or something. Nothing like a new series or anything like that.

The Harry Potter story is done, after 7 books there is not much left to be said about him.

If Rowling is smart, she will let Harry Retire and instead expand the Hogwarts Universe like the rumored Fantastic Beasts is supposed to. Or, a story on how Hogwarts and the other Schools of Wizardry got started.

If she was even smarter, she would license out the content and let others write the stories like Lucas did with Star Wars. Then she takes on the role of an Editor and still makes all the money without having to stare at a blank piece of paper all. And we get more stories to enjoy.

So it seems it has nothing to do with Harry himself, just the wizarding world she has created. (and a project she has been working on for some time)

Video games set in the Harry Potter universe but with original stories have long been something that I wanted. I don't think she'd go for that, pretty sure she looks down on vidya, and she probably hates the idea of anyone else touching her setting.
