Has anyone done a questlessnearly questless play through?

:3

I just started my play through as a hunter/wanderer type! I spend most of my time in the wilderness exploring and hunting and generally avoiding confrontation unless needs be. I plan on avoiding MQ's and guilds. I'm finding it surprisingly fun!

Have any of you guys done a questless play through, how did you find it?

On my adventurer characters, I will do random and town quests, the ones where people need help. I figure it's a favor for a favor, be nice to them, they let me shack up for the night. I avoid the political or thane quests and the factions on these characters. However, I mostly explore. Heck, even the characters that wade chest deep into the Civil War and the Main Quest end up just exploring after a while.

I've done that a few times, But it's kinda hard to do seeing how you pick up quest like an STD :P.

The only character that didn't have quests was the one who avoided people all together.

Michi generally doesn't quest, except where needed. She's ran the quests to gain Honeyside, but then reverted to her original save. She's ran the quests to gain Namira's Ring, then Hircine's Ring so she can practice cannibalism without having to wear Namira's Ring. Bandits, forsworn, and mages are added to the list of Michi's prey. :D

She'll occasionally run the main quest far enough to open dragons because Skyrim's dragons are outstanding and I get to missing them when I haven't fought them for a while.

I agree 100%. NOT joining any guilds is liberating. My bosmer hunter/ranger does this and he doesn't even enter cities or walled settlements. Money is not important to him and he lives off the land and only crafts things with stuff he's found in the wild.

Its actually very fun and rewarding in its own way to do this. Most of my RPs are like this with maybe one faction being completed and only quests/jobs that suit the RP. There is so much freedom in this.
