Has anyone else bought the imperial eddition retail?

Post » Sat Feb 22, 2014 1:08 pm

I bought the imperial eddition at eb games here in australia, and upon putting in the code, I recieved an email saying "You’re now registered for The Explorer’s Pack".

Upon reading the rest of the email, I discovered that this was present in both versions, imperial AND standard.

I haven't recieved any additional notification as to whether I have actually recieved the imperial eddition as well as the explorers pack, soooo, naturally; I'm worried that I have been given the standard by mistake.

Can anyone else who bought their imperial eddition retail calm my nerves on this one? Does it actually say anywhere whether you have the imperial eddition, or the standard eddition? Do I have to wait until I play next to find out whether I've been given the wrong thing?

Did the email state 5 day or 3 day early access?

If it said 5, then you did get the Imperial code, as it's the only retail edition to give 5 days.

all you got was the key for 5 day early access. The imperial key you will get once you receive the box. Yes this probably means you wont have imperial features during your early access. Sorry

You'll get a second code with the game box.

Also according to the latest info you will be able to roll Imperial, Get the horse and the Rings as well as roll any race any faction for early access. Then on 4/4/14 or when you get the game box you enter the retail code to keep using your items.

When you buy the retail version, the retailer sends you the code to redeem at the ESO web site. It should telll you to create an account on the ESO site and after you enter in the code that the retailer sent to you, Zenimax will send you confirnation that you are in early access with all the perks.

Well, that's good to hear I guess...though the code I got did come in a box, I suppose the next box will come with maybe a game disc and other stuff.

Well, thanks, as much as I'm dissapointed I wont get the cheap horse during the beta, just knowing that I've not been ripped off is a pretty big relief.

I know I'd be bummed if I pre-ordered the boxed version but got less access to the items I paid for than someone who actually paid less than me by buying the digital download.

I dont honestly mind too much, for one, I get a game box, and while I'm not sure if you get that with the digital version, I'm happy to sacrfice a couple of days of cheap horse and pet mudcrab in order to be sure I'm going to get what feels like another trophy on my games shelf.

Plus, if it comes with a disc, which'll mean I'll not have to download it all again if I ever wanna reinstall. Which is a pretty neat thing, cause the thing is like, 30 gigabites or something, and that's a huge chunk of a monthly quota.

Also it should be said, I didn't actually pay more, both digitally and physically it cost 120 australian dollars, so I went with the option that promised more physical stuff, and less chance of getting the special eddition stuff, the book, statue, map, etc, lost in the mail....If you even get that stuff when ordering online...do you?

I dont know how it all works, all I know is that ping and stuff were never really an issue during my beta play at all, except during a couple of rough patches which only really lasted a few seconds, and once or twice during multiplayer, but that may have been more due to my computer having a tough time handelling it all.

I ordered the physical copy of imperial edition myself. I only got the email containing my early access code for 5 days, and an email stating my explorers pack and such. The fact that my order shows i am paying/paid 120.00 bucks is showing me i bought the physical copy of Imperial edition.

I dont know how things go in europe but your probably fine, i really wouldn't worry.

Nobody can redeem any goodies from the Pre order or collectors edition until 4/4, when we put in our final release codes.
