When I press ~ the console doesn't open up. I saw in the FAQ section that sometimes remote sensors attached to the computer will do this but what is a remote sensor? I just installed Oblivion onto my laptop a few days ago, it was a version that included nights of the 9 and shivering isles if that makes any difference. I don't have any addons or mods installed yet.
