I had an odd idea that i wasn't sure about so i figured i would ask the community. Has anyone attempted to have a character who focuses on Restoration and just heals a Follower in order to get through all the conflict in the game? I suppose on an RP level this could be a Priest or Pacifist character but i am more concerned with the effectiveness of the concept. I suppose it could go from Pure-Healer to Pure-Support and throw in Courage spells from Illusion and Summon spells from Conjuration if the base-concept isnt viable enough

It's pretty viable.

Done it once on a rather lengthy played character, first he started by following some of the Khajiit caravans and keeping them healed, it was actually challenging, and rather fun, he then got "hired" by Gorbash, and it's pretty much as you described, the follower does all the dirty work while you keep them healed, pretty much, don't let your meat shield go down, if they do you're pretty much dead by that point.

Using spells like Oakflesh and Ward are pretty useful, unless you want to do a pure restoration character.

It could work just fine, never tried it, but yeah, restoration and then adding maybe some illusion would be great. If you want to have a follower around that is, never really liked having followers with me. But I can't see why it wouldn't work. Just et healing hands and a follower and you're set. I love it.

I currently have a character who uses only illusion, conjuration, and restoration. Ward spells are great to distract enemy mages from your follower. If a dragon is ready to breathe fire on your follower, it feels quite heroic to jump in front of them with a ward.
