has anyones hype meter gone down at all?

Post » Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:37 am

i know mine has. and i'm not going to complain or anything, i just don't feel the same as when skyrim was announced. I'm still going to go to the midnight release and rack up countless hours through the 4 day weekend. but i still can't say i'm as excited as when i saw the announcement trailer.

Not mine. In fact, I get more and more excited the more I get new details or info. It just sounds so great! :celebration:

Yes, it has somewhat gone down, I think my hype went up most during E3 or during the first couple of reviewer character screenshots, now I'm more hyped for Dead Island.

Well you can only stay so "hyped" for so long.. Stop thinking about the game (ie. visiting forums, looking at videos) and forget about it. Then in a month come back and get pumped again.

Stop lurking the forums for 14 hours a day :P But seriously, I've found that the more you look to get hyped the less hyped you actually are. Don't saturate yourself will info all the time. Walk away from the gamesas forums for a few days(or weeks) and you will get that hype-meter recharged.

Whenever we get new info or shots, my hype meter spikes, then goes down fairly quick when there's nothing. Then I read those threads about how excited everyone is, and what they're going to do when they get it, and I get all excited again. :)

First month: NEW ELDER SCROLLS GAME, GIVE ME MORE INFO, GAME INFORMER!
Few months after that: Well, that svcks, what are you doing Bethesda...
Now: Oh well, whatever I'll still enjoy it a lot for what it is, and it is a new Elder Scrolls game! Can't wait.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Given that I just preordered the Collector's Edition for the PC, it suddenly feels as if November is just a few days away...so my hype meter has reached it's max, and as soon RAGE blesses my PC,I'm gonna glue it there until 11.11.11.

Those pants are creamed what can I say!

My hype has gone down, along with my expectations. But thats good. Because when it was announced my expectations were physically impossible for any video game to achieve and I would've been disapointed if they stayed the same.

0 as usual. I'm quite interested, not excited. Judging by what we've seen so far, no hardcoe RPG gamer should be excited by what this game is going to be. I can't wait to mod this thing to get the most out of it though.

I'm just as hyped as I was when Todd walked out on stage and announced Skyrim 9 months ago. Only 2 months left, I can't wait to play my most anticipated game ever. And after seeing the CE box earlier

Mine has somewhat gone down because we barely hear any news from Bethesda on Skyrim. I would like to see one more skyrim gameplay that isn't the same thing when Todd makes his journey to Whiterun. If this ever happen i'll be completely ready for skyrim, i guess just 1 more video of entirely new gameplay is WAY to much to ask.

We're 9 more weeks away from Skyrim, i think i can hang in there until 11/11/11. Getting this game is still my top priority.

I always try to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xLsRI7-hBs. I have more of a nervous excitement for the game now. I'm expecting it to be as good as Oblivion, and any part of the game that's better will be a nice surprise for me.

I'm going to put it this way; If my hype meter was to be turned on its head, it would be ground level.
