ED-E has disappeared

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 2:43 am

I was checking out vault 32 and as useuall ED-E was running off triing to kills everything within a 1 KM radius dispite interviening terrain.. when I exited the vasult ED-E was no where to be seen. He didn't show up in Primm. Lucky 38 Presidential Suit, or in the started town.. I gave him 12 hrs of game time to find me but no dice..

How do I get him back with me? Is there a Tilde command to have him return?

Short answer: no. Long answer Nope. Even with console command, you will only summon a ghost more or less, he will be suposed to be in front of you but they will have nothing, Only hope is to have a previous save... but i never tryed the command to kill him tough, maybe it might work... (companion are bugged like hell, best way to bug less is play without them.)

Maybe you should wait much longer? I thought I saw a post or something in the FAQ that said wait 3 days? Before doing something drastic I'd search these forums for answers to lost companions.

Good Luck

ps

This is from one of the stickies above so I'd suggest you save game, fast forward at least 7 days and look to see if he's in Primm. At least that way you know if you're getting him back or not before you do anything drastic.

"I've lost track of my companion... what can I do?
Try waiting 7 days (in game) and your companion should return to where you originally recruited them ((Raul to Raul's Shack, Lily to Jacobstown, etc))."

OR, I just found this on the cheats forum where another person lost ED-E

"Alternately, just use Player.moveto 001732d1 to find out where he is hung up at."

Just be aware that there are three versions of ED-E. The original and two different upgrades. If you use the wrong code you will end up in an empty cell.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/ED-E#Bugs <--- read this first

in console type:
"prid xxxxxx" <--- ED-E's correct ID.
"resurrect"
"moveto player"

If that does not work try this:

"prid xxxxxx" <--- ED-E's correct ID.
"resurrect"
"disable"
"enable"
"moveto player"

one of those should work.

ED-E 's return:

I tried the tilde commands for the Proper version of ED-E but the only one that worked was the version where you just have the text commands not the interaction wheel. He would soon disappear from view and be located on map in the Night Stalker cave [wasn't really there, just the map marker] So playing without him was sad... after a few days of play I tried to callhi again when I was in the BoS bunker hopeing it would trigger his last upgrade and thierfore his return [permanetly to me].

Well the Tilde ED-E hasn't left, But Low and Behold the Interative ED-E is also with me. I now have 2 ED-Es and my Human companion following me everywhere. I dont trust either of them for inventory purposes.. And niether of them seems eager to run off.. Go Fig ??

Oh and to those that posted tilde commands without the proper / and .'s they are incomplete and give a plethora of error messages. Thanks for the thought but Please do be Precise..

EXSAMPLE: ~
/moveto player

/player.placeatme

If you wish to have only one, open the console, click on one of them and type just:

disable

The extra ED-E will disappear.
