Has anyone had any experience with ED-E turning hostile on them?


I am currently doing an Independent play through on hardcoe and am around 125 hours into game so re-starting fills me with dread. ( Xbox - no DLC )

The problem arose when ED-E left my party and returned to Primm.
I hadn't entered the Lucky 38 at that time ( had that as my housing last time, wanted a change hence the Tops ) so couldn't tell them to wait there.
I had been 'decorating' my Presidential Suite at the Tops and had told Boone and ED-E to wait outside while I did the interior decor ( I wanted it to be a nice surprise lol ), well, after a couple of game hours, ( few in game days? ) they had both had enough of the suspense and sodded off home to Novac and Primm respectively ( I got a message while stacking pre-war books on the bookshelves ).

There was no problem getting Boone back on the 'Me for President' campaign, but when I enter the Nash's to get ED-E, she ( I think of it as female ) goes totally bat-sh*t and kills the Nash's before turning on me!

I have done the first part of ED-E my Love, got the first pre recorded message and left it there, my reputation is either neutral or positive with everyone except the Powdergangers ( wiped out the Prison ) and the Great Khans ( haven't even met them yet but am 'Hated' ).

I miss the Enhanced Sensors perk, it's a good early warning system.
Is there any way to 're-set' ED-E to friendly without backtracking hours in game?

Have you done anything to make the Enclave mad?

But seriously, he can be frenzied.

Weird... Never experienced this. I couldn't play without ED-E, me and him have a bromance.

I did think this too, hehe, only spoken to the old lady at Novac from the Enclave though.

Pretty sure it was the hours of waiting that has glitched it.

Looks like I will have to bust in to the Nash's and hit ED-E with a couple of blasts from the Pulse Gun to the part of it's exterior shell casing that passes for it's face. If I can't get ED-E back I at least want to sell my loot / use the post box in Primm.

Bet old man Nash regrets asking me to tinker with it in the first place..........
