Topic.

This is so frustrating, the one or two lag free games I have played were amazing!

Oh I'm glad someone else is experiencing this. Almost every game I play lags off and on, and when it does it's bad.

Doc Savage has absolutely no problems with the game. He cleared everything on the first try w/ a minute to spare and has played 8v8 Campaign with no problems at all. He either works and plays LAN @ Splash Damage or is the most special unique perfect game experience having person in the history of video games.

No I just have a great Internet connection, I actually had problems on the 1 star portion... I then played the 2 star portion and like I said I only had a minute left... I didn't wait for them to revive me since I was playing solo so that way the AI didn't come running to get killed over and over.

It's peer to peer. You have the same chance for lag as you do in almost every other console game. The host connection is pretty much what determines everything.

The problem is they don't have a system in place to find the best host in every game, it just gives it someone who can't host.

LMAO!! (No offense to Doc, I was just laughing at 4th's Letter reply)

I have a great connection as well. Still the lag is horrible. I posted a Bug/Glitch report post to keep it tidy for the developer's. Post this issue in there please:

And yet I get pretty much perfect connections in every other P2P game I play.

It's a problem on SD's end, not ours.

^ This. Yes, you will get some lag on P2P when the host svcks, but have any of you played Reach? That game is P2P and runs smooth 98% of the time. In this day and age, blaming poor hosts should no longer be acceptable. Game companies need to tighten up things if they want to use a P2P (ala Reach). Or better yet.....start using dedicated servers!!

Just noting this here, CM posting in another similar type thread:

Hey guys

Wanted to let you know that both members of Bethesda and Splash Damage are going through the forums and looking at your comments. When we have new information to share on the game, we'll let you know.

I don't get how Bungie has created near-perfect multiplayer experiences for damn near a decade,
but every other hack developer out there severely struggles with connectivity and server issues.

O.k. I was going to remain quiet on my review of Brink for a week but I figure I can let this slide out. I tried playing a game last night on Live and it was simply unplayable. It took at least 30 seconds to spawn after the first few players had already run into that map. Once I did spawn made it no more than ten feet out of the door before I started lagging to a point that would have shut down halo for a host migrate.

It was simply terrible. For a game in this generation I have to say what I've seen thus far has been pretty said...shocking even.

I have said I'll hold off my full opinion for a wekk or a bit more but something needs to change in order for this game to go anywhere with me.
