F1-F4 has stopped working. I can enter the menus through Tab button.

I thought it might be mod related so I removed all mods but the problem persisted. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Replace your current keyboard with a new one.

Do the keys work outside the game? If so, have you checked your key bindings to make sure something didn't change them?

The buttons work outside of Oblivion.

The ini file under 'Controls' says:

I don't understand hexadecimal key mappings...


So those correspond to the F1-F4 keys? Are you running anything in the background that intercept keyboard signals, like Auto Hotkey?

I found the 'Default' button which made the F-buttons work again. I still wonder though what changed them
