Stay out of the forested regions, caves, and the underground sections with falmer?
Run away every time you see one?
Take consolation in the fact that they aren't really spiders, as they have ten legs (and are the size of cows)?

The swamp surrounding morthal is crawling with them, as well as the general area around riften. And in dungeons, if you see any spider webs, then turn around :D

They can also be found in that snowy forested valley that runs east-west from Winterhold with a river going through it and a small lake. That general area.

...And so don′t complete the quests because of arachnophobia? :sadvaultboy:

They really have 10 legs? If so, them they aren′t spiders, so no reason for arachnophobia!!! :foodndrink:

Why aracnophobia is so common in game players? Different from other phobias, it manifests in games. I am aracnophobic and had to deep breath many times to find a way to deal with it.

Yep. Being prevented from completing a quest because of weak spiders. Very immersive lol.

Just messing with you.

Seriously?!?!?!?

You do know that they are just as real as the dragons, trolls, falmer, giants etc (or are they... :cryvaultboy: )

I counted 8 legs, 2 pedipalps, 2 fangs. I could be wrong on the count, but that's what spiders DO have.

I'm extremely arachnophobic but the ingame spiders don't bother me in the slightest. In fact, I think they're awesome and really well done. It might have been a coincidence, but today I was fighting a couple spiders, and my fire atronach got killed. When the corpse exploded, the spiders backed off and crouched, as if they were scared of the fire patches. It was awesome.

I tend to put an arrow in their head that usually deals with them quite quickly.

I think they should replace the dragons with giant flying spiders. That would make the game a lot more exciting for the arachnophobes!

I get they have to be in dungeons (beats me who left the lamps there though), but why do they have to wander pretty much all over the wilderness. Saw one in the river near those hot springs. what was it doing there?

Arachnophobia is actually the #1 most common of all phobias. A study was done a few years ago and most people said they were more afraid of spiders than they were of dying. How messed up is that? (I'm arachnophobic too but the spiders in Skyrim don't get too me... much.)

Some say that arrows in the knees are efficient too, the problem is that they have 8 knees :chaos:

Dont do sword finishes on them that freaks me the [censored] out.

Get your archery skill high, you can usually one-shot them from a distance.
