I hate Messengers

Am I the only one that seems to constantly get attacked by vampires, cultists, etc.. while being stuck in the messengers script while he is looking for your message?

Happened to me one time. Nothing more irritating than being helplessly attacked by Vampires while waiting to get a note :(

Nope. Part of it is avoiding the vampire attacks.

The one that has killed me most often is the Fugitive/Hunter world interaction. You have one chance to get killed during the Fugitive conversation and then a second chance to get killed during the Hunter conversation.

Simply back out the convo and deal with the threat then talk the courier again to get your mail.

The B button should back out of almost any convo, maybe you need to press it more then once.

They do tend to appear at the most inopportune times, don't they? It was pretty amusing before the patch when one would run up to you without a costume and say, "I have something for you ... let's see ...oh a letter!" You are looking in disbelief, trying to fend off (name of enemy) and wondering where in the world he had been keeping this letter?!

my assassin was doing a DB quest involving killing a vampire. I get all sneaky and snipe his wife from afar with my cross bow. Then I seach her things and find the key to the house. I quietly let myself in and get him to fight me. I lure him back outside and kill him next to his wife. I then dumped both bodies in the river. As I am standing there watching them wash away a messanger runs up. Seems the Jarl of Falkreath was impressed with my actions.

First off how did he know?

Second off it really broke immersion for me. :(
