All of my characters always side with Stormcloaks. I just feel that the time of the Empire is coming to an end.
Ha! I should try that. But yes, I suppose I do respect their petty cause. However, a rebel is rebel. You either drink your milk like a good boy or die without strong bones and calcium.
Because people have different prefereces.
Deal with it.
I've never felt the need to join inferior sides, therefore Stormcloaks are a waste of my time.
Stormcloaks are racist and very proud. Nothing wrong with being proud but sometimes it gets you killed and get into fights that could have gone better with diplomacy. Also when your in Whiterun, most of the people complain that stormcloaks only buy from nords and pretty much ignore anybody else. Also heard that they always smell like sweat and mead unlike balgruuf's men who showers every now and then
Meh, I dislike them a little more than the Empire, but I definitely see their point of view. But I like the cause (ish) but I dislike Ulfric.
As it is the internet and as we are all (hopefully) human, people have different opinions. Personally, I hate the Empire, except I've hated it before it was cool to hate, the minute I first played Oblivion and then Morrowind I didn't like them and then playing Redguard I enjoyed fighting against Tiber Septim's scum and defending Stros M'Kai. In lore I've hated the Empire since Tiber Septim, and over the past few games they've just gotten boring to me as have the Blades which I hate with an even greater passion (again prior to Skyrim and the reason everyone hates them).
That being said, while I support his cause itself, I find it hard to like Ulfric himself and even harder to like Galmar Stone-Lung, but once again it's my opinion and it doesn't really matter. People play the game how they like and express themselves on the internet in debate and through other means.
I rarely do either side as I think it's a poorly written chore of a questline that is ridiculously cut and unfinished, not to mention incredibly easy. Honestly it reminded me of MMORPG 'quests' (cough, chores, cough) minus the hard and difficult PVP replaced with you mowing down enemies like you're Pelinal Whitestrake or Trinimac. City Guards have more health than soldiers, and to me this just helps further ruin the questline.
Definitely not 90%, either way. I think it's pretty even, really.
Despite being an Empire supporter, I do feel that the Stormcloaks have a just cause. And while I feel that Ulfric's actions are motivated very much by hunger for power, I don't hate him. Indeed, I've watched his closing speech on Youtube, and he handles the situation well. He extends an olive branch to Elisif, he gives credit where it's due (to his men), and he demonstrates determination to abide by Skyrim's laws and traditions by refusing to accept the title of High King until the Moot bestows it on him. Yes, it's pretty much certain since all nine jarls either supported him from the start or are Stormcloak sympathizers he put in place over the course of the war. But it shows that he practices what he preaches, at least some of the time.
So no, I don't hate the Stormcloaks. Never did, never will.
You must not have been around during the 500 Companions Empire v Stormcloak threads that permeated these forums for over a year and a half. its definitely split down the middle.
and nausiating
and you've made another, how does it feel "Stormcloak" causing problems once again, Like Lokir said, things were easy before you people rolled up with your misguided beliefs and pompous all self important Ulfric, I dare say paint him gold and point his ears he would fit right in with the Altmer he "hates so much"
Lol this forum is the complete opposite from what I've seen. Luckily I'm a Stormcloak myself but it's mostly the Empire and Imperials which are made fun of.
You don't see Imperials ripping on Stormcloaks because we're above childish name-calling
Everything we say about Imperials have truths to them
I do think it's because we are more vocal
I just don't see the Stormcloaks making it far if they win. Don't see the point in helping a pointless cause.
I hate the Stormies and the Imps because both sides are whiny babies who are simply throwing a tantrum because neither side is willing to see the big picture, which is that the Thalmor have already won the war and are in control of the Empire from the Shadows and that not even an independent Skyrim can win against them.
