I have an amazing idea!

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 2:24 pm

So hey guys I just made an account to share my awesome idea for this amazing game. This idea would be great if Skyrim had online. So anyways there should be a gamemode that has up to 12-16 (or however many it would be best with) and it would be based off of Lost Planet Colonies Akrid Hunter. For every 3 players in a match there should be one dragon that is controlled by another player. So for 3 humans/1dragon, 6 humans/2 dragons etc. This would be pretty fun as Akrid Hunter was an amazing game type. And the players could choose which type of dragon they would want to be, Same with the humans.I have thought of maybe one problem and that would be the dragons would overuse being able to fly around, so my solution would be that when they're flying they have stamina bar kinda thing so they can fly for only so long at a time. Another gamemode would be just like Predator Hunt from Aliens vs Predator. you would have 1 dragon/werewolf/other creature vs humans and whenever a human kills the creature they become the creature. These sound amazing in my head but they may not be good in your opinon. Then you could level up and unlock better armour/swords/bows and maybe spells. Just give me some feedback and tell me what you think and tell me some flaws if you can think of any. Thanks and way to go Bethesda for making such a great game :).

I would like only 4 player coop and that is it. I rather have a real player helping me than a dumb ass AI who blocks doorways and dies all the time. I'd also like to be able to trade/barter with friends.
Those who use the "it's elder scrolls, leave it sp boohoo" can't drop that argument because you can still pay by yourself. It's not like anyone would be forcing you to play with your friends. (if you had any)

Bethesda, and most of its community, is completely, entirely, against an online Elder Scrolls game. Welcome to the community.

Edit: Including me, no.

It wouldn't force us to play co-op, but it would force Bethesda to focus a good amount of resources on the Multiplayer, taking away from the rest of the single player game. There are very, very few games that offer equally solid multiplayer and single player gameplay.

*gives you a flame shield* You're going to need this. You've just unleashed the full fury of the forum upon yourself, albeit unknowingly and with honest intentions.

You're silly.

I honestly wouldn't mind a little 4 player co-op (LAN or online) as long as it doesn't detract from SP

Skyrim having multiplayer is like masturating whit a friend...So, no.. There are certain experience that are too personal to share it. Skyrim is one of them.

It would be the exact same as it is now only someone would join your game and help you. That's it. They would pretty much be your follower, only you could trade items.

Go play Fable.

The Elder Scrolls is one of the few champions of the single-player story flag, and I love it for that.

The more you include multiplayer options, especially in a series so heavily weighted in its canon, the more you invite problems with the story and how it's executed, especially with what's canon and what's not.

I consider this series to be a sacred ground of the single player experience, the depth of that sort of adventure and storytelling that can be had, that everyone can be the Frodo that tips the balance in their own story, per their own terms.

Everything else is so heavily weighted to the multiplayer mentality, often to its detriment, and I don't want to ever see this see this series fall victim to that and become so much less compared to its forebears.

It's already a stretch enough to write an open-ended story wrapped around player choice the way TES series has done, going the multiplayer route would just make it ridiculous. Make that idea into any other game that can stand on its own.

Let the Elder Scrolls series be what it has always been. To change that is to truly make it something else entirely, and not what the series has been about: The individual and his/her adventure as the yet-to-be discovered hero of his/her time.

yea! And then we would add Team Deathmatch, and Capture the flag!

Oh wait...This isn't CoD :D

Don't worry I'm not trying to be rude :P I see where you're coming from, but bethesda is strictly against online multiplayer!
