Im really stuck in fallout new vegas now, wondering if anyone can help me.. got a feeling i might have glitched out, rather than be stuck.

Im doing the boulder city showdown, I decide, [censored] it.. im just gona go in there and blast these [censored]s. So i went in killed some khans, minced around. Realized they weren't all dead and there was the "khan hide out" left so i go in there and [censored] boone just executes them all straight away, i walked out and minced off and the [censored] ncr troop who was at the gate has buggered off, only the two hostages i rescued are there.

At the mo its continually saying "deal wth the great khans at boulder city" but theres no one left... ugh

Yeah, that happened to me on my first playthru as well. I think I reloaded, made sure my actions matched what I told the NCR guy I'd do, and it worked the 2nd time, even with killing them all again. I think if you tell the NCR guy at the gate that you're going to do things one way but then you change your mind and do it the opposite way, it can cause issues sometimes. So either reload or as mentioned, just continue on.

I believe either Jessup or the already dead one has a note on the body.

He does...but it didn't update the quest that time for me. Hence the bugginess.

yeah i left the room, went back in (as i realized i'd forgotten to check the bodies) later and there were no bodies..

Any chance you simply missed one or another? This would explain both why it doesn't update and why the guy at the gate ran away (NPCs run away from you if you're in CAUTION mode).
