I have a disease or something....

My active effects say I'm less effective with weapons, how do I cure this?

Potions of cure disease or a shrine.

Be sure to always carry some Potions of Cure Disease on you. You can normally find them in Imperial or Stormcloaks camps.

Or, you could become either a Werewolf or a Vampire.

There's also a certain type of enemy you fight during the Companions questline that drops lots of cure disease potions and ingredients for making them.

One of the first things I do is go over to their fort.

BTW, Hawk Feathers, Charred Skeever Hide, Mudcrab Chitin, and Vampire Dust are the ingredients needed to make a Potion of Cure Disease.

Just mix any of the two.

Or you can just eat a Hawk Feather. It is the first effect and it only weighs 0.1.

But they are actually pretty rare compared to the other ingredients.

This is what I do. It's not like you get diseases very often anyway. I've been carrying 9 with me forever now.

It depends on where you are. There is an area that has about 20 of them flying around. None the less, there is no need to make a potion from Hawk Feathers, just for a Cure Disease.

Plenty to be found at the Solitude docks. Plenty of them to be found at Windhelm too. Vigilants of Stendarr also tend carry potions of cure disease as well as (I believe) the Silver Hands.
