Have to drop everything to scrap it?

Am I being stupid here? Is there no way to scrap it from the workshop menu or inventory?

From my experience it automatically scraps it when you craft stuff

Ahh, so you store it in the workshop and then it will auto scrap everything when you need it?

Yes, it auto breaks down whole parts into raw parts as needed when you craft.

But this is both good and terrible. Good because auto break down does that step for you.

Terrible because it means huge chunk of your supplies are stored in whole part form. when you need to go somehwere else to build, all the build formulas are in raw parts - so while you know you need 8 gears, 8 oil, etc - you now need to hunt and peck through your whole oarts imventory to check wht breaks down into what, and how many raw parts you get, in order to know how mnay of those parts you need to xfer and take with you to secondary / new settlement where parts are not available.

Not being able to directly brealdown stuff in station storage is a hassle and hope that gets fixed.
