Using one of the animals, I was able to get a dweller up to level 70. Unfortunately after sending him out to the wasteland my vault locked up and I could not recover it. Suspicious, but unsure if vault lockup is related to level 70 dweller....................................

Does that animal happen to be the Bangor(-26% training time continuous)?

I have over-max level dwellers too, seems to be tied to any continuous training pet.

This really caught my interest.

Since I had a maxed out level 80 character with Bangor the training cat.

Sending her to the wilderness (with Bangor in tow) crashed the game, corrupted the save and therefore seems to have poured any money I have spend down the plug hole.

Is this a known bug, which might get patched (and therefore there is some hope)?

See my post above......it seems that Bangor cat induced levels over 50 are causing crashes/lockups!

note to self: do not over-level your dwellers, or if you do, don't send them to the wilderness, save file breaking bug. I guess that means I should stop using a... unintended game-play mechanic.

LOL ...... The over levelling is automatic if you have that pet, no intentional exploration. Just inadvertent.

But, yes ... The sentiment of "there is no such thing as a free lunch" does spring to mind.

So I'll level the [censored] out of all my stay in vault dwellers, and let them handle Deathclaw attacks. :P
