I have lost all interest in FA:NV. (Mr House/Bos conflict)

Post » Mon Mar 29, 2010 11:33 am

Spoilers inc, please don't read unless you already know what I am going to talk about before hand (you can tell due to the title)

So, this Mr. House want's me to off The Bos, but I refuse. I do all the Bos quests hoping for a peaceful resolution, but in the end its not good enough for Mr. House.

This hypocrite wants me to kill them, and there seems to be no way to refuse. The NCR likes me, but they won't work with me now because I am way too deep working with Mr. House.

My only two options is going with wild-cards, which I never wanted to do, or going through with it and ending the brotherhood.

On top of all that, the companion I have literally spent most of the game with (I am level 22) is [censored] Victoria.

[censored] THIS [censored].

I even marched streight up to Mr House and off'ed the bastard, and I recieved evil karma points. Wtf, the dude wanted me to kill The Brotherhood of steel, which has PLENTY of good karma people in it. Mr house had the [censored] nerve to even ask me why the hell I am killing him. GAAAH
This is so frustrating. I hate this, this whole event has ruined this game for me.

As long as we are on the topic of karma, WTF. Why am I considerend as evil as evil can be? Just because I like to steal?? I ALWAYS do the right thing when it comes to quests, always trying to be a hero. I would not mind being somewhere in the middle, like Robin Hood, but I am EVIL, AS EVIL as it gets.

Sigh....
This just svcks

There is a place called the SPOILER/HINTS FORUM to post this stuff in.
READ for once maybe?

And are you really overreacting to such a meager price to pay?
Start up a new Playthrough.
side with the NCR that time around.

Also, if you side with CL, don't come back with such an arrogant complaint again.

so your mad that you have to make hard decisions and that your decisions affect you.

Obsidian didnt want any 1 faction to be the "good guys" so each one of them has some qualities that keep the from being knights in shining armor.

DEAL WIT IT

If you think the Brotherhood of Steel are knights in shining armor galavanting the wastes like the Eastern BoS, clearly you have forgotten their threat of killing you then forcing you to do their work by sticking an explosive slave collar on you. From that point on, I only worked with the BoS quick as possible so I can get Power Armor training. I favor Mr. House the most, and no one could persuade me differently.

That said, I read on the Vault that there was originally going to be an option to peacefully resolve the House/BoS problem but it was cut from the game. In my opinion it builds up the 'choices and consequences' aspect the old Fallouts had.

A bit harsh but....they're right. If you don't like that, try something else. I myself couldn't bring myself to kill the brotherhood. I just tried something else instead. Don't let it ruin the game for you. It's a great game. Just take a different approach. ^_^

If I do continue playing this [censored] game, rest assured I am killing mr house, reloading the game, killing him, and doing it 10x over.

[censored] that hypocritical piece of [censored], at least the NCR never pretended to be something they aren't

My problem is I have spentt an entire day doing quests for Mr house/side quests. Its a long ways of saves till I can do work for the NCR instead....

I'm sorry that I never saw this incoming, I had no worning that I would be FORCED to commit an evil act, with NO other choise.

Hindsight is 20/20, but in a game a player should never be forced to reload a save game a day old, with no other option.

How was I supposed to know Mr house was a hypocritical asshat evil son of a [censored]

and all you morons that think this adds "depth" to the story, go eat [censored] and die. you have no [censored] clue what "depth" and story is

Don't work Mr. House, plain and simple. You can get the BoS to help the NCR or you can ignore the BoS, with Wild Card quest, and become boss of New Vegas yourself.

How is Mr. House a hypocrite? He makes his motives clear. The NCR are a corrupt bunch of selfish morons. They even want to steal the strip from Mr. House under the logic of 'we are NCR we deserve it.'

In what way is Mr. House a hypocrite?

I'm sure the lack of that one additional sale will wound Bethesda deeply. But on the bright side, you could take the money your friend saves and ask him to hire you a spelling tutor.

Well BoS would never accept a world that polices itself with Securitrons...so that would be a problem right there.

I've killed Mr.House plenty of times. You don't have to work for him...which is one of the many things I like about this game. You'll be ok. :)

/facepalm.

stop complaining. it does add depth to the story. the factions are supposed to be morally grey.

(also since you probably didnt play the original fallouts, you dont know that the brotherhood arent good guys, there a bunch of greedy tech fiends)

this game is about making hard choices. if you dont want to side with Mr.house dont side with him.

If you haven't fail "For the Republic" you can switch to NCR as well.

Seriously, there is two out for 4 faction which can let the BoS live, isn't that enough?

Yes, its clear to me mr. house is by far the most evil choice in this game. I would rather side with the [censored] legion. I only wish I could have tortured him more before he dies

This pretensions asshat wants the entire las vagas to be controlled by a bunch of robots? How could I have been so [censored] blind!
This guy was the biggest evil from the start.

1st. How does that make him evil?
2nd. He controls New Vegas. He controls the robots. He has complete and total control over them.

Its amazing you say Mr House is 'evil' and yet

A. You get bad karma for killing him

and

B. You have yet to answer my question to prove how he is a 'hypocrite'

It seems that his picture of Mr.House and his post specifically stating that "I favor Mr.House the most, and no one could persuade me differently" did not seem to turn you away from posting this.

If Martyr is on the topic, Don't Insult The House. Friendly warning.

Chill out man. Its just a game, So what you kill the Brotherhood? Save them in a different play through, and just see where this one takes you. Do you really have to get this pissed of about it?

How old are you.....12?

answer me this.

what are 10 reasons that he is evil.

One of the main themes in fallout is making hard choices. this choice was so hard in fact, it drove you to the point of whiny on the internet.
