@velozzity
Did I say something about downloading warez ?
Your kind are so narrow minded and think of only piracy ?
You can modify any files as long as you keep it yourself, how it break any EULA?
I ask you, If you brought a house, you paid the money, you signed the contract, but the salesman forgot to give you the key. You decided to break into "your" house by force rather than waiting for salesman to return and give you the key. Is it consider illegal?
I'm not narrow minded, I rebutted a statement you made about me saying that Pirating sites were not respectable and downloading stuff from their is essentially theft. And a game is not a physical good like a house so your comparison does not hold water, you have the right to use of it as allowed per the EULA, not a right to modify and redistribute it or circumvent the DRM. But back to the anology of the house since you like that one and think im so narrow minded. Lets say you paid for the house but your money was still in ESCROE and you signed a waiver giving the previous owners/realty company a said amount of time before you could move into it. Does that give you a right to bust down the door the day after you close, nope. There are terms and conditions to everything and if you don't believe me read the EULA's sometimes.
Oh and about the modding part...it's here i think straight from the Crysis EULA
5. Software Use Restrictions
Any use by Licensee of CRYSIS not expressly permitted in Section 2 above is expressly prohibited
and any such unauthorized use shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement by Licensee.
This prohibition includes (but is not limited to):
- to copy, reproduce, manufacture or distribute (free of charge or otherwise) CRYSIS, in whole or in
part, in any media;
- to transfer, sell, sublicense or lease any rights in and to CRYSIS to third parties;
- to use CRYSIS contrary to morality or applicable law;
- to modify CRYSIS or create any derived work (except as pursuant to the SANDBOX 2 EDITOR for
CRYSIS or MOD SDK for Crysis Agreements)
- decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble CRYSIS.
note the part that says no modding except as pursuant to SANDBOX 2 EDITOR...that means modding is ok as long as you use the EDITOR, so saying you can't mod a game is bull.
