I have a shedload of tex replacers, but I can't seem to find

every now and again i'll come across a terribly textured cave, even though I have richer textures as a base, overlapped with all connarys textures... anyone know if this cave-style is suppposed to be covered in connarys textures?

it also seems to appear on some rocks that are mainly at the top of mountains, as well as those big smooth oval rocks around the coasts. It just breaks the immersion slightly when you're faced with an amazingly crappy out of place texture. any ideas folks?

I don't think that texture is in the vanilla game. If you open the console and click any static it should tell you its object ID, then you can check the CS to see what models is being used, and from there you can check the textures using NifSkope. This should at least give you the texture's name so you can search for a replacement or just delete it.

sockola, I might be wrong, but it looks like that cave texture (mold rock tileset if I'm not mistaken) is already affected by Richer Textures. Hence the very bright white highlights in the texture. :)

Try looking for replacers on http://search2.yacoby.net/ - I found http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5806

I'm guessing that you're using the BSA of connary's textures. In that case, you won't see them ingame if you're also using Richer Textures, because the textures of the latter have newer dates.
You'll need to extract the BSA into a folder and then copy them into your Morrowind/Data Files folder manually. At least, that was the case for me, and I don't know a better alternative.

That texture does look really bad, maybe Lattice just batch-contrasted it and later didn't notice that this one should be touched up manually. Or maybe you're using strange contrast settings? That ringmail cuirass looks pretty bad as well, if yo ask me.

thanks for all the replies doods. I am infact using the non bsa version of connarys textures, and I installed them after richer textures, so I am not sure whats happening there. Anyway I think I'll go ahead and try that replacer (cheers Melchior), and see if it works. Also, yeah it is one of the richer textures textures (lol), not a vanilla texture..

Actually no, I didn't. All of the textures I changed were done by hand.

Is it really? I don't remember even seeing that one. The business of it hurts my eyes a bit. I think I would remember, I spent enough time staring at the things...but eh, if you find something off you can always overwrite or delete the texture.

Actually, if you can tell me the file name, I might try to re-do that one. I didn't get the chance to see how every single thing looked in-game due to the sheer size of it. I still worry about the Guars, actually. There was some UV map seams on there I couldn't quite get rid of. I'm hoping they weren't too terribly noticeable.
