I have stolen Umbra's sword

I liked so much Acadian's post about Umbra, that I wanted to do the same. Steal the sword and let Umbra live.

I had no magic spells to disintegrate the weapon but I thought I could disarm Umbra with my H2H block... So I start fighting like on a Ring! I used paralyze to give me a break to heal me and absorb fatigue. I punched her a few times but mostly I was blocking to try to disarm her. So for hours we were fighting. I tried not to kill her as I wanted her to live, like Acadian did it. It's true that its the blade that made her so evil.

I never died as I was well prepared in healing spells and potions. I was starting to get tired and thought I would never do it. But: suddenly she attacked me with her fists. So I paralized her and searched on the foor her blade. Nope. I remembered what Acadian said and on Sneak mode I took her sword. Then ran outside.

Now I have (even if I will never use it): Umbra's sword with a broken and stolen flag - Conditions 0 7 0.

You see that everything is possible in that wonderful game! And without cheating

Of course I'm at level 32 and have a few enchanted pieces of clothes with fortify health and fortify magicka from Sigil stones. Thank you Acadian for this wonderful experience :foodndrink:

WooHoo! Congratulations! I think that is so much more of a wonderful challenge than just killing her. We RP that after she is separated from the sword, she realizes that she really is Lenwin and gratefully returns home to Pells Gate. We then find a lava pit to dispose of the evil blade. Lol. Very clever to try and disarm her. My characters surely don't have the stones for that! :goodjob:

Oh, for disintegrating her weapon, the Akaviri Sunderblade (sold by the Three Brothers) can be very helpful for those not magically gifted. The sword Umbra has 800 points of durability.

Thank you both... haha

Well from 800 points to arrive at 0 you can see how long we fighted. In that case my fists are blocking very well.

Any idea where to drop that damned blade?? I thought going very high in the mountain and drop it into snow... But maybe you could have a better idea?

Yes Acadian I was also thinking of Lenwin waking up from her nightmare and returning to Pells Gate. A nice story end.

I think the best place is into the lava inside an Oblivion Gate.

Somewhere in the Ocean I thought of it but later on the weaves might bring it back on the shore.

Yes Acadian, bright idea, I don't know how I didn't think of it. In a pool of lava in an Oblivion gate. After the closure of all gates, the sword will disappear for ever... :goodjob:

Oh, good. Yes, I would be worried about the ocean. The fellow that originally hid Fin Gleam probably figured no one would ever find it. Lol.

the Lava rivers are better that's true, but I though I'dd give your character a second idea. for those who don't like going into oblivion gates. also, I believe a Dremora or Flame Atronach might dive it up for his lord?
