I have this ridiculous memory disorder.

In real life, not in the game. Like..the memory in my brain. Its hard to explain, exactly. What happens is I will see something, misinterpret or misread it. Not too uncommon. But then something will happen that for whatever reason, makes my confusion seem valid. And then it becomes fact. I will literally read things wrong each and every time after this.

I absolutely adore the jump/levitate spells. The one I always get in every one of my games is Tinur's Hoptoad. But until LAST YEAR, I misread it. I misread it as "hot pad." Because what happens if you put a hot pad under someone? They jump....I've been playing morrowind since 2004, around that time. For six years or so, I always misread it as Hotpad. Until a real life friend casually mentioned the spell's correct name. I told him h was wrong, and went to check..

Hoptoad. Damnit :P

But I'm not complaining, far from it! What this disorder really means is I get to play a game twice and see two entirely different stories and sequences of events. Its actually quite fantastic. Well, thats it basically! :D Now I'm heading back into Vvardenfell.

I'm sure I'll find that Blighted Flame Atronach again this time! It cant hide forever!

The Kagouti. For six years or seven I read it as Kagouri (with an R in place of the T). When my husband, who just started playing for the first time this year, said the beastie's name out loud, I corrected him to my version. And he said, no, no look... That's a T. And it was.

I didn't realize until just a couple months ago that it's Dwemer.

I always thought it was Dwenmer.

For ages i thought a modder was well into the spirit of Morrowind by giving himself the username Yurt after the Ashlander tent ,until it came to searching for his mods on PES and failing to find anything. So i got close up to the monitor to check the username on one of his posts and was quite surprised to find it was in fact Vurt which i had seen many times and each time failed to distinguish the V.
