i have two questions

Post » Sat Jun 12, 2010 6:50 am

i didnt think it would be nice to spam the forum with two different questions, so i'm putting them into one.

a long time ago someone told me that even though all the monsters in the game level with you, they wont do this forever. at some point they'll reach their maximum power and you can continue to improve beyond them. is this true and if so when does this happen?

my other question is about getting away with murder. i tried to do glarthir's assassination quest and failed quite miserably. i managed to kill two of them, but when i tried to kill benadette or w/e or her name is, she ran away and in doing so i got into a fight with dion (i had already been caught killing the graqe farmer which is when i learned that those gaurds actually arent so tough, at least if you have alot of good poisons) and glarthir ran out to help me! of course, he died and i got nothing for all my effort, save for a 3000 gold bounty and an invitation to the dark brotherhood. isnt there someway to get away with killing someone? i know about the frenzy exploit, but i dont have that spell and no interest in doing that. i'd prefer to do it a legitamite way. as in killing them without getting a bounty. is that possible? i know for a fact that other crimes wont give you a bounty if you're not caught.

1. Murder join the thieves guild and you can clear your bounty whenever you want

2. They continue to improve all the way until you are lvl 100 everything (I think, I got this off a slightly unreliable source)

1. Murderers join the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild guys can only clear half of your bounty.
2. Correct unless you have a mod installed like OOO on PC. The creatures you'll face are different until like 20 and then you get the same enemies around then but each level you increase they gain more health.

yeah, as far as i know once you reach lvl 23 nothing changes. you have the highest enemies, every leveled item will be at its maximum power, the loot will be as good as it gets, you meet all the level requirements for all the quests etc...

Murderers can join both, just not kill humans during most thieves guild quests, and you pay half the bounty to get rid of all the bounty, sorry rainman.
The enemies don't change but their levels do, making leveled spells like command inferior unless you go completly unarmoured after level 25.

Sneak attacks, and not getting spotted is how you kill without gaining a bounty, except with guards you allways gain a 1000 bounty with them plus often the resist fine as well.

So stick to shadows, paralyze or drain the fatigue of your foe if you can, if they reach a guard you will gain a bounty.
If you get caught and not roleplaying take the assault rap and pay the small fine.

Whatever you do unless roleplaying never gain 200000 bounty and 200 odd infamy, Anna's just spent half the MQ killing everyone "friend" and foe alike.

haha, i did get my bounty up to that once. of course when i did it i was playing with the console commands to give myself 100% chameleon more than 200 in every attribute and skill, and i killed everyone i saw, even the dark brotherhood guy. i slept just one time to summon him solely so i could kill him! even though i had 100% chameleon the entire time, i still got a huge bounty. of course the only time i got arrested was when i tried to pickpocket a gaurd (i didnt know that they're scripted to automatically notice you if you try that). of course, most of the ppl i killed were gaurds though....

Same here, though no chameleon.
Its manic during the MQ as often more than half the people you're trying to help with the foes, attack you at the same time on sight, but it suits the role..
I want to see how far I can go without having to remove the bounty, so far not had to face the music at all.
The one quest I could roleplay to get into jail, I just snuck out and killed someone involved in it, I allways thought he would be vital or cause a failure / glitch, but nope all laugh no music.

Few enemies scale with the player. Most enemies do not (note: scaling is not the same thing as leveling).

Leveled creatures stop at level 26.

The 1st question- most monsters are leveled and stop when they reach a certain level although boss monsters like the Minotaur Lord and the Lich they keep going up in level
The 2nd question- I would use Frenzy spells and let the guards kill the targets

you know? that isnt a bad idea...it even makes rp sense: put a spell on someone to attack you so the gaurds will come to your aid thinking that you're the victim and your 'victim' is actually the perpetrator! it's downright evil too...

yes its evil and the best part is you don't get a bounty when the guards kill the victim
