Do I have to wear a Helmet?

Post » Fri May 10, 2013 10:37 pm

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if I have to wear a helmet to get the light armor perk bonuses. When they say 25% bonus for matching armor, on the Light Armor skill tree, do I really have to wear the helmet or can I just have it in my inventory to get the bonus? I hate helmets and only wear them in the fiercest of battles, but as soon as I'm done, the helmets coming off?

Any ideas? Thanks, G

Wearing it during combat and then taking it off is your only option on consoles, there is probably a mod for it if your on PC.

Screw helmets! You won't be able to see your character's lovely face. :disguise:

OP: Yes, unfortunately. They really screwed us with that one.

Yeah, "Helmless Warrior" I think it's called.

Excluding the mod the best thing to do would be to just put the helmet in favorites so that you can quickly equip and unequip stuff.

My solution...

Will help for when you need to switch your weapons and armor around quickly.

I have heard rumours of a Circlet named Diadem of the Savant. It is in the Vanilla Game and counts as Light Armor.

Kinda hate it when you spent hours on your argonian's head just so he would look badass and dragon-like, only to have it covered by an imperial helmet.

Its also glitched so the flesh spells work with it as well.
