Have you booked time off for release day?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 12:51 am

Luckily i have that day off already and a clear schedule. My friend isn't as lucky tho. His 2nd childs first birthday is that day. I think he's letting the mom take care of the party while he plays the game.

I took the 9th and the 10th off. In retrospect I probably should've also taken the 11th off but didn't want to use up my last week of vacation. Need some days for when it snows.

Technically I have to have some time around release date off, my daughter is being born sometime between Nov. 9 - 14, so I will be taking time off... Nothing like being up from 10pm to 8am letting your wife sleep while you take care of the baby that'll hopefully be sitting on my chest sleeping 90% of the time.

Still debating the pre-order so no time off yet. If I do get it getting time off won't be a problem though.

I've got some people traveling into town to work with my team that week, so I'm not even taking Veteran's Day off (even though that's normally required); instead, I'll be taking a nice four-day weekend.

Whelp... looks like I have some surgery scheduled for the 4th, with two weeks of bed-rest recovery.... which means I will be just enough out from under the pain meds for launch day, plus have an extra week off with the superlative "but the doctor's say I need to stay quiet" reason to give my wife when she wants to know why I am just sitting around gaming all day...lol

I booked a full week off when Skyrim was released. Best vacation ever ;)

Now I'm self-employed (kind of), so I guess I have to go talk to the boss!

I still have over a week of vacation left and no travel plans, so I'm debating taking release day off. But, I also got a huge backlog at work and it might not be worth it to end up even further behind. I think I'm going to be looking at not working a full week between thanksgiving and Christmas for the third year in a row to burn my extra vacation. I may just bust my chops over the next two weeks to get caught up so I can comfortably go with that option.

I find it silly that people look down upon others for enjoying themselves instead of working. Kind of a screwed up species where people get angry at others for enjoying themselves instead of working when they don't need to. Maybe some people prefer playing a video game that makes them happy to sitting under the sun for a week as a vacation? So what?

I can't take time off because I'm at college :P Wouldn't want to, anyway. If I could choose a day, it'd be November 20th so I could binge watch Jessica Jones.

Lucky me has a quiz on the 10th and an exam on the 12th and then a family vacation the whole weekend so I won't be getting much playtime in the first week

I can't since I just started my new job about 3 weeks ago and I can only play about 1-2 hours when I get home which svcks. Though, I am considering being "sick" on the Wednesday which I know is morally wrong but hey, the wasteland is too damaged for me not to fix it.

We've waited five years, seven if you don't count New Vegas, so I'm sure a few more days won't hurt if you can't play properly until the weekend :)

School teacher, so I can't take the whole week off (nor the night before for the midnight launch), but the following day post-release is Veteran's Day, which means no school. My girlfriend already knows not to expect to see very much of me on that day.
