I have a strange feeling I will be falling in love on 11.11.11. dunno why.

I've had lots of feelings towards other people, mostly infatuation, yet out of all of them I'd say three of them were affectionate love.

All of them started out as butterflies and the such, but one was cut kinda short because the other person... I really don't want to speak bad of him because I'd still do a lot for him, but he cheated on me, multiple times, and left me, multiple times, and despite all that he has a positive image in my mind (This relationship really made me understand how nice people can date abusive people). The second is still ongoing, and has moved past the butterfly stage an despite us not dating, we even have "couple fights", where we argue over stupid stuff and make up a couple hours later. The last one left me kinda crushed, though, and I'm actually still confused about it. We both hurt each-other, but eh.

Twice.

First time was a '74 VW Super Beetle. I bought it for $500 in '82.
It had been wrecked, the front end of the body was trashed, but it was mechanically sound.
I put it up on blocks, and spent two years (and about $2,000) beefing it up and making a baja buggie out of it.
I built it to Class 5 specs.
One night in '91, after about a fifth of Southern Comfort, I tried to get some air off a pile of dirt at a construction site.
Came down nose heavy and flipped it end over end. There was nothing left of it but broken fiberglass and scrap metal. (I got a sprung wrist, busted nose, and a couple cracked ribs out of it.)
I still dream of owning another one someday.

Yes, I'm still in love and will be for a very long time.

Sadly we're not together because of a great many stupid things that I did/happened during our time together. But we're still close friends and still see each other quite a lot. Well, not so much anymore because she's at university and I'm still stuck in this godforsaken town, but yeah. Given time, I hope that we will someday get back together. I know we both love each other still, so yeah.

I think, now don't quote me on this, but when he says "stay with the partner till they cant do what???" I think he is talking about intercourse.

If I have ever been in love then love is decidedly disappointing. I'm pretty certain it was just infatuation, although that fact didn't stop me from getting crushed.

I have decided that being single is pretty damn awesome. Parties are so much more interesting when you're not tethered to one person: when you have to worry about offending your significant other there's no intrigue or flirting going on. And what is alcohol without that?
