Have you ever felt more anticipation for a game than you do

Post » Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:42 pm

Skyrim is my second most anticipated game of all time. My most anticipated was Brawl. I would stay up every night just to see what the new update would be. And the game was delayed twice so I became even more anxious.

Well... A few years ago is when i had my hype up the most when "Zelda - Twilight Princess" was coming out. When it finally came out i got it for gamecube and it didn't take me that long to beat it, more like 2 days and it got boring pretty fast. As of today, no game has never made me so hyped for a game in my life, i cant wait for Elder Scrolls.

Morrowind and Oblivion. Daggerfall was great, and I was really looking to Morrowind. Morrowind was great. Oblivion was great, but not up to the standards set by Daggerfall and Morrowind. Now I am little leary, but still looking forward to Skyrim.

I am only somewhat exited for the game at the moment, after using the last 10 months to get it out of my system(still gonna lurk on these forums). But, no I haven't been more exited for a game.

As I'm sure others have pointed out, the first poll option doesn't make sense, given the phrasing of the question.

But my answer is no. Fallout 3 came close.

O/T, but how on Earth did you manage that? On the Wii it took me over 80 hours, spread over weeks. You may want to pace yourself a bit more when you get Skyrim.

Yes. I followed the game "Trespasser" for several years, on the forums etc, I even talked a little to one of the devs over email. It seemed so fantastic, the previews claimed it was incredible, it was THE game that would redefine how we looked at computer games. I was _extremely_ hyped.

The game came out, ...and it svcked. Most of the things they said would be in the game just wasnt there, or was just extremely overhyped.

Lesson learned. But i love getting hyped up for games, even if sometimes the hype itself turns out to be the best part of it.

Yes, Oblivion. Which didn't turn out so well (compared to the hype, anyway) so now I have a much more realistic perspective.

Your options need to be tweaked. They answer the opposite of the question in the title.

Its up there but behind Halo 2, MGS 2 and GTA 3. I'm also more of a Fallout fan so Fallout 4 will probably be my most anticipated game ever.

Well, I have been gaming since before the majority of the people on these boards
where born, and I have been VERY excited about a lot of game releases over the
years. However, only a handful of games has ever come close to the anticipation
I feel for Skyrim, and only one game, as far as I can remember, had me even more
exited about it's release than Skyrim. A totally awesome, super hard and absolutely
relentlessly unforgiving game.

STEEL BATTALION!!!

There's never been anything like it in the past, present, and I doubt in the future.

I still have it...I still play it...I still love it!!!
