Have you ever felt more anticipation for a game than you do

Post » Wed Oct 12, 2011 7:42 am

Really hard to say. The first game I've been impatient for was warcraft 3. Since I love the second opus and was new to videogame it was basically the only game I was waiting for.

But now, even if skyrim is the one I'm the most impatient for, I'm waiting for a ton of other games: GW2, ToR, ME3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Diablo 3, Bioshick Infinite... So it's not the same sensation, even if TES is my favourite series.

Nope. I don't play alot of games anyways.

Oblivion just didn't really hit me until about a week before release. Skyrim is the first time where I actually research alot of information and all that jazz, not to mention hanging out on the forums all day.

No, tie-fighter was the last game I was excited for. And that was a long time ago!

I was more excited, and pretty disappointed with Oblivion. I think because of that, it's holding back my uncontrollable excitement because as of now, with only a month left, I'm pretty sane and normal right now when I should be going crazy.

I was just as excited waiting for Dungeon Master back in 1988, but that was in another life... 16 bit.

I think this is as bad as it gets , because Skyrim , then Saints Row 3 comes out just 4 days later , and WWE 12 a few more days later... so its all actually compounded anticipation

I think the last time I actualy got excited for a game was the unveiling of Fable 3. I sweated for months waiting that game, thinking they finally fixed the series. And then I got it and was like... http://th617.photobucket.com/albums/tt255/813780/th_okay-meme.jpg

After that, I thought I wouldn't be excited over any other game.

But now I constantly refresh the Skyrim forums, flick daily through GI looking for new scraps of info, I've rewatched the gameplay demos like 20 times... etc.

I'm pumped. ^_^

Your options need to be tweaked. They answer the opposite of the question in the title.

The most anticipation I've ever had for any game in my entire life as a gamer was with Halo 2.

I bought an original Xbox in 2003, two years after it launched, and my first two games were the original Splinter Cell and Halo: Combat Evolved. Both games impressed me, but my experiences with Halo CE have stayed with me to this day.

Needless to say, I was hyped beyond belief when Halo 2 was officially announced. The hype generated from that moment up until November 9, 2004 was beyond measure for me personally. I don't think any game will ever have me as hyped as I was for Halo 2.

Having said that, I'm very, very hyped for Skyrim. I'd say it's in the top 3 for most hyped games in this generation. Oblivion is a tie for my favorite game of this generation, the other being Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

At least it will be on time. Twilight Princess was a year late, so this is easier.

I used to feel this way about Christmas dinner when I was 10, I love Christmas dinner.

'looking up Christmas Dinner on google' 'getting the results' 'closing the fan' - lol so its not a game, 'remembering that there is another world outsite Tamriel and internet forums' Hmm i'm moderately excited i guess...

As an advlt, I've never anticipated a game so much as Skyrim. I remember anticipating Zeldas and Metroids this way, but there wasn't the fun of hardware upgrades for a Nintendo. Just got the last part of my PC upgrading taken care of, so my rig is as ready as it can be and should *knock on wood* provide the "face melting" experience I'm hoping for. Then there's modding! I'm just as amped about the Creation Kit and the possibility of TES5Edit as I am for the game itself.

Fable 2 and 3 were the only games I've been more excited about.

Boy was I disappointed after Fable 3.
